Traditional Texas charm and elegance at this River Walk hotel, three blocks from The Alamo
The San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk boasts 507 rooms and five suites on the River Walk across the street from the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and blocks from the Alamo. Rooms facing the River Walk feature a private balcony with a view of downtown. All rooms come equipped with high definition TV and offer high-speed Internet access. Indulge in hearty Mexican food at the on-site restaurant or stop into the lobby Starbucks. The business center offers equipment rentals and computer workstations. The indoor/outdoor pool is flanked by Jacuzzis.

Great hotel, great location

Great location right on the Riverwalk. The staff was friendly and more than helpful. Wasn't willing to pay an extra $25 per night to be on the Riverwalk side of the building with a balcony, so there was some city noise. Wireless access was free in the hotel lobby, but $12.95 per day in the room - too much. I used an internet cafe near Market Square called Good Bytes instead for free access. There was also access in the MacDonalds and the deli next to it. [...] parked in the Marine Garage next door for $8 rather than valet park for $33 or self-park in the hotel garage for $25. Easy walking distance to many places worth visiting - the Alamo, Main Plaza with San Fernando cathedral, Market Square with Mexican vendors and restaurants. Definitely take the Riverwalk boat tour - so many historical and architechtural facts worth knowing. Buy tickets early - Fri and Sat night get crowded. Felt safe out late at night on the Riverwalk as a single female. Would absolutely visit San Antonio again and stay at this hotel for a fun weekend trip.

beautiful hotel + great service

the hotel is in a great location- across the street from the Rivercenter mall and next to the Riverwalk. The staff was very friendly and professional... the rooms were spotless, comfortable, well-furnished (even with a flat screen tv and armchair!). you really get what you paid for: expensive, but well worth it for my little weekend getaway

Wonderful San Antonio

I got into San Antonio at 10 am. They were able to help me get a room that morning. It was a fabulous room on the 22nd floor. It has a great view of the city and of the river walk. The staff were wonderful and very nice. They even had toiletries that I could not take on the plane and that saved me money. They were helpful and provided a map of the area so that I would not get lost.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

If you have time just take a walk on the riverwalk for fun. If you would like mexican food, just through a penny in any direction and you will find wonderful chips and salsa. If you are a fan of Irish pubs try Durty Nelly's. There is a little bit of everything on the river walk.
