Rodeway Inn Downtown

I really expected something else from this hotel. The hotel was under construction so only a few rooms were available at that time. The room that was availabe for us was not in the best shape, bad oders in the carpets and restroom. For some reason I was not able to connect to the internet. To top it off the phone became a nuisance to us and made our stay very unpleasant.

This weekend was supposed to be a quick getaway for me and my wife with neither of our two kids and our experience with this hotel was horrendous. The hotel smelled dirty the hot tub in the room would not drain, the hot water took every bit of ten minutes to warm up. It was so bad that me and my wife booked another hotel for our last night because this hotel was so NASTY!!!! If anyoneone is around the San Antonio, Texas DO NOT stay at the Road Way Inn.

Not located in "heart of downtown"; property was old and not clean. My confirmation stated "non-smoking"...they showed smoking. Did not clean up room next morning; continental breakfast is a joke.

A car alarm rang in the parking lot ALL night long. A security guard stood there ALL night long. Wouldn't you think he'd make some effort to solve the problem? Wouldn't you? Guess what? He didn't!

Hotel was right at the outskirt of downtown. Area was not very safe for a single mom traveling with a teenager daughter. The room was a non-smoking but had a rather stale odor. The towels were dingy and almost transparent. The beds both sqeaked upon just sitting on them. Not very happy with overall location or the room. But i guess you get what you pay for.

The hotel was dirty, and old. The covers on the bed were filthy and there were visible stains. There was a picture missing from the wall with the nails and impression still present. The alarm clock/radio didn't work. The lamp's shade had been crushed and appeared to be ready for the trash. The tile in the bathroom was dirty along w/the shower panel and tub. The remote control was not working and the curtains were coming down. Everything in the room was just plain dirty and unsanitary. The FREE breakfast was a host of debbie cakes & snacks; just ridiculous! The vent in the bathroom allowed you to see directly onto the next hotel room. Never again will I ever stay at a Rodeway Inn!!! I was in town for a major celebration-my graduation and this stay almost dampered such an achievement! never again!!!

The location was okay for the places we wanted to attent. Close to Riverwalk as well as the "gay strip" The service was okay. The beds are HORRIBLE, especially if you have back problems. Otherwise, you get what you pay for.

Urine in the bed linens. Mold everywhere. Room looked like it had never been cleaned. Dirty towels. Reused laundry bag. Very filthy place for $80 a night! Just disgusting my clothes reek of urine. Cockroach infestation, you can see trash everywhere. This place is a dump. Location under the noisy freeway. Free breakfast is a bunch of tiny stale sweets. Was not compensated in any way for the huge inconvenience of moving rooms because of filthy rooms. Couldn't leave since was there with others and shared a car.

The room was dirty and the bathroom had some significant problems, especially with the comode, which was not secured to the floor, and the shower, where the caulking looked like it was done by a toddler. Giving it one star was way too generous. Would never stay there again or recommend to anyone.
