The Red Roof Inn San Antonio Downtown Riverwalk has a good location and includes free breakfast, complimentary Wi-Fi and local calls, free lodging for kids under 17 and one well-behaved pet may stay in-room. The hotel is just blocks away from some of San Antonio's major attractions, including the Alamo, theater district and Market Square. The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center also is a few blocks away. Good Value!
This was a great location and a good value. There was a little mix up when we checked in with rooms, but it was remedies immediately and cheerfully! We were very impressed with the staff.

Great Location
Had a great time in San Antonio at this Hotel. It was a 2 min cab ride or 10 min walk to the alamo and riverwalk in downtown San Antonio. The price was much lower than other hotels in the same area, and given the amenities were satisfactory it was well worth it.

Save money by staying here. It isn't a 5 star hotel, but if you are just visiting it is great. Had everything I needed, nice staff, and for what you pay can't beat it.

Not Clean, Uninterested Staff
When I arrived, the lobby, elevators, etc. were undergoing major renovation. No problem with that, but the staff wasn't very attentive or customer-focused. I could live with that as well, but my real problem was the room. The bathroom had not been cleaned... the sink was dirty and the shower had a used bar of soap and a facecloth left from the last guest. There was also a tipped over spray bottle of cleaner next to the bed. They need to pay a great deal more attention to detail.

Traveler from the North
San Antonio
Stayed at this hotel based on the price. However, once you arrive at the hotel, they charge you $5.00 a day to park your car in the parking lot (I am sure this is a means of generating money to pay for their parking structure). I told the receptionist that it did not mention anything about this fee when I booked . He said "Yea, I know" and continued to charge me. Overall a fair value except for the parking issue.

Great dining a short walk from this hotel. Better to walk then to drive since the all the garages downtown will charge you dearly for parking.

Thanksgiving vacation
I had recently become handicapped and they went out of their way to accommodate me! It was the best experience at the Red Roof yet!

Fudrucker's hamburgers are amazing! It's only 3 or 4 blocks away near the riverwalk.

Great value & comfort
I was extremely pleased with all that Red Roof had to offer--very clean rooms, FREE WI-FI and great responsive staff. Management went the extra mile to accomodate myself and all runners in a recent marathon running event. Only thing left to upgrade is the TVs.

Pretty Average.
The hotel was pretty average. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. All the tourist sites were a short walk away and I never had any trouble. I wish I didn't spend too much per night but for the location, it's not a bad price at all.

Clean, reasonable, near Riverwalk
Inn was clean and front desk staff very helpful. The breakfast supply of coffee, juice, muffins, bagels, and fruit was always adequate even if we arrived near the end of the serving period. Coffee/tea was available in lobby all day. Room was as expected for the price. You can walk to the Alamo and Riverwalk if you don't mind walking a few blocks. Trolley stop is nearby.

Great Location and Nicest Staff
The staff went out of their way to help my aging mother. She lost a decorative jewel off of her sandal. A staff member found it and returned it to my mother after we had notified the front desk of the loss! It was a wonderful stay! Thank You!
