Location, location, location!

The location was great, close to transporation lines, free safe parking, and enough of it, or major attractions within walking distance. Although I did not see the continental breakfast and the juice machine was broken or pertually out of it, the staff were great. As suggestion would be a real breakfast extending to noon. Most guest are early risers and it would be great to grab a quick light breakfast on the way out of the door. The hotel environment excellent. I would stay here over and over again.

not great

The hotel provided the bare minimum in the rooms, there was no counter space anywhere making it difficult to get ready. Whenever we needed something like more pillows or a hair dryer instead of bringing it up to us we had to go down and get it. We had a lot of problems with trying to use the internet, they kept running out of password cards and then telling us they would get some eventually, then when they did recieve them we had to go down to get them. The "breakfast" was the biggest disapointment, it consisted of either a bagel or a muffin. No cereal, no milk. We ended up going to a store and buying things for breakfast. The only upside to this hotel was that the mall, riverwalk and Alamo were only about 3 blocks away.

On the Riverwalk there is a fabulous mexican restaurant called Casa Rio. We were only in town for 5 nights but we ate at Casa Rio twice. The food was amazing and not too pricey.

Great weekend get away

The room was great and the staff were very friendly. The only problems were the water pressure was low and the bathroom was extremely small. Over all it was worth the trip.

Great location for the price

We attended State Band Marching Contest; Location was great for walking to the Riverwalk as well as walking to the Alamo Dome for the State Competition. Staff was friendly, room was clean. Price was great for the location. Breakfast was my only complaint. I had a 8 year old with me, and all they offered was muffins, or bagels. Would had been nice to offer ceral for children. Mine left hungrey. :)

"Just a room"

I attended a National Conference at the local Conference Center. This hotel was not one recommended by the conference; however, I choose to stay there because of the low room rate. The hotel was nothing special--a bed to sleep in, a bathroom, and a TV. Room and hallways smelled funny--almost like smoke. The staff, however, were very helpful with directions to various locations, even calling a cab for me.

"The good, the bad, and the really ugly"

I've been to this area a few times and since I was without my family this time I decided to go cheap. This hotel is close to the Alamo and downtown, you are close enough to not pay high prices, yet just far enough away for a 3-4 block walk. The rooms were neat and plain, small bathroom, but you do get an in room safe. It did have a once over clean feel to it and there were toenail clippings on the floor, hair in the sink and spots in front of the toilet. I was bitten by some type of spider on my forehead. I gave it a shot, but next time I believe I'll stay somewhere else, some deals just aren't a deal after all.

brenda san antonio trip

it was a family vaction, hotel room had a humidity smell, the coffee machine was out of order and i only got to get one glass of orange juice before it went out of order. It would have been better if room was cleaner (i had socks on they were, white at end of day they were black) and if they had better variety on breakfast, also elevators were slow. A little maintenance is recommded in every department.
