Expected some things but not others
I read many, many reviews prior to booking a room in Corpus and San Antonio. I would like to return the favor (I always read reviews!! ) I figure the price pretty much signifies what you'll get; however, at $93, I guess I thought it would be a bit better. The hotel had construction going on so had to maneuver traffic. The location was not 3 miles from Riverwalk as states on website. It was clean, but the bed was hard (and I am not a picky sleeper!). The worst part was 5 minutes after arrival, my spouse went to use bathroom and it backed up! They even have a sign above the toilet giving directions on what to do if this occurs!!!! I guess I was comparing it to the Best Western we stayed at the night before in Corpus and only paid $20 more. I will not be staying at this Quality Inn again.

Not too smart front desk ladies
We went to the Alamo, Ripley's, the Riverwalk and downtown. It was a very short and easy drive from the hotel to these loctations. The hotel didn't seem to be in the best part of town, but it was good for what we needed it for; to sleep and shower. It was quiet, very clean, and the continental breakfast was terrific. The only bad thing was the ladies at the front desk were not totally with it. It took a long time to check in, and we got locked out of our room the next day because of a mistake they made, so we had to go back to the front to reactivate our keys. And when we got back into our room, there had been no maid service, and I had trouble calling the front desk because the Front Desk button on the phone was not marked properly. But the room was cleaned in a matter of minutes.

Short drive from hotel
The Alamo, Riverwalk, Ripley's, downtown, and lots of shopping are only a short drive away. We paid to park close to these attractions, which can cost from $6 to $10, and stay parked there for 12 hours or more. Some of the parking lots allow you to leave and return, as long as you still have time left on your ticket.

Uncomfortable, unclean and unacceptable.
We chose this hotel for it's proximity to the Riverwalk/Alamo, but it wasn't close enough to walk and didn't have public transportation, so driving and parking was still required. We should have researched that better, but it did show up as near the attractions we wanted. The staff was friendly enough, but the location was loud (next to the interstate), the other guests were loud (lots of unsupervised kids) and the beds were REALLY hard! We hardly slept. We had to keep washing our feet because the floor was so filthy that it turned our feet black. The decor was about a decade behind, the bathroom was old and we just couldn't stay there for the entire trip. We checked out early and moved to a nicer property.

Unbeatable
went to San Antonio for our uncles surgery, and was able to enjoy some of the sites also! Our motel was centrally located and easy access to highway to get where we needed to go. Staff was very service friendly (which you dont see much of in these times anymore). Complimentry breakfast was awesome. I think it was just as good as what we got at IHOP. PS: I loved the Texas shaped waffels!!! Room was clean - I would recomment this hotel highly - in fact we are plannin on return trip (maybe second honeymoon :)!)

park near bus stop near down town and hop on. For a small fee ($1.15) you get a tour of the area, the bus lets you off right in front of the Alamo, the River Walk, and all the other major sites. You dont have to fight the traffic or pay $5-15 for parking that you still have to walk for 2 or more blocks just to get in the general area of the above mentioned sites!!

Nice laid back San Antonio experience
The location was pretty good, not too far from the riverwalk. I accidentally booked a smoking room online but when I arrived, the room wasn't bad at all. The front desk people were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent! Loved the Texas shaped waffles!!
