Great hotel!

This is a great hotel and the location on the Riverwalk could not have been better. The staff is friendly and courteous, and they met our every need. In addition, the history of the property is very interesting. Ventage photographs of the time when it was St. Mary's College decorate the hallways. It was a very enjoyable stay.

LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!!

ARRIVED AT NOON AND WAS GIVEN A ROOM IMMEDIATELY EVEN THOUGH CHECK IN WAS AT 3. ENTIRE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY. HOTEL IS IN THE PERFECT LOCATION, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RIVER WALK. ROOM WAS LARGE VERY CLEAN AND LOVED THE PATIO OVERLOOKING POOL. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO EVERYONE. DIDN'T USE ANY OF THE HOTEL FACILITIES SO CAN'T COMMENT ON THEM. WAS HOPING FOR A RIVER VIEW ROOM BUT AFTER COMPARING OUR PATIO TO THERE'S I WAS REALLY HAPPY WITH THE POOL VIEW. RIVER PATIO IS SMALL CAN ONLY ACCOMMODATE 2 PPL, BUT THE POOL VIEW PATIO WRAPS AROUND ENTIRE FLOOR WITH DOUBLE FRENCH DOORS.

Perfect five night stay - great location!

Location, location, location! This hotel is in the perfect spot to enjoy numerous restaurants on the Riverwalk. We also walked to the Alamo, Ripley's museums, Market Square, and Rivercenter Mall. All hotel staff were extra helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived. Our room was quiet, even though a couple of larger groups were registered in the hotel.

Mi Tierra Restaurant in Market Square has reasonably priced, excellent authentic Mexican cuisine. It was suggested to us by one of the bellmen.

Very Nice Hotel

A really great location right on the river walk. There is always plenty of friendly staff on hand to help with questions. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable and the curtains make the room nice and dark for sleeping late. The drinks were really good but a bit on the expensive side. We will certainly choose them again.

Wonderful Experience

Very positive experience. In fact, I requested a room change upon check-in and the hotel staff was very accomodating and provided an upgrade without any hesitation. Two small lighting problems inteh room were fixed within hours of calling teh front desk. Everyone (from cleaning staff, bellmaen to front desk staff) was extremely friendly and professional. I was treated by everyone with the upmost respect and courtesy. The Las Carnarias restaurant is world-class. The service and food was outstanding! The outside seating is on the riverwalk promenade and makes for a very pleasant dining experience. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Anniversary trip

we went to San Antonio to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. The hospitality was amazing! The room was very clean and spacious with a wonderful view of the river walk. I would definitely recommend the Omni del Rio to anyone wanting to get the feel of San Antonio and the hospitality that you expect.

Great Experience

Hotel is very nice inside and out. We stayed in a room that faced the river walk, and it was nice to be able to look out and watch the people and boats. Hotel and room was very clean and comfortable, staff was polite and attentive. Hotel has a bar/restaurant and a very nice formal restaurant on the ground floor, both of which have great food. The hotel also recently acquired another restaurant directly across the river from the hotel, we had the "Gulf Seafood tower" for lunch there and it was awsome! The hotel is located directly on the riverwalk, and is easy walking distance to restaurants, clubs, shops, The Alamo, Rivercenter Mall, and lots of other attractions. I would not hesitate to stay there again when I visit San Antonio.

Disappointed

I chose the La Mansion hotel over others in the area because it was an Omni property and, according to its website, it had a pool, spa, and gym. When I arrived, I learned that the spa and fitness center are in a separate hotel (Mokara) that is located scross the River Walk, about 50 yards away! One night, I heard this horrible intermittent squeaking noise beginning at 10PM. After several complaints to the front desk, I was informed around midnight that the noise was due to some workmen in the room above mine, and nothing could be done about it except to relocate me to another room for the night. I was given a free breakfast for the inconvenience.
