La Quinta Inn San Antonio Vance Jackson

The hotel was nothing special. The location was on the freeway not especially close to the airport nor downtown. The room was clean and well stocked. The Wifi was free, fast and easy to connect to, as it always should be. The girl at the desk was helpful and courteous, as she should be. What made it special was that I and my six year old were exhausted from travel and slept past eight thirty. The free breakfast is served until 9am. We arrived at almost 9:30am. They stopped putting it away and made us feel right at home. They were very solicitous and we had some still fresh muffins and fresh waffles. On our way out I asked if they had bottled water and was given it at no charge. It was a great end to a nice stay. It is an insignificant thing to keep the breakfast open, and most workers wouldn't have cared less, (I would not have held it against them if they'd closed it), but the extra mile made all the difference to me and my boy. Thank you. PS I would give the hotel three stars but that is not fair to the staff who deserve five, so I have given it four.

kinda noisy right there next to the highway; sirens and trains all night long; paint peeling here and there; bed none too comfortable...like a cement slab with blankets on it. at least the staff is pleasant and attentive.

Found the room clean, comfy!! Short trip to the Medical Center and shopping!! Stayed there before and will stay there again!!

Affordable and clean. Easy access to Airport and Downtown San Antonio. Staff was very accomodating and helpful. Very nicely maintained swimming pool area. Lots of kids playing but room was quiet none the less.

My family and I enjoyed splashing at the pool and relaxing in a clean room. The location of the hotel was not were i expected. It was a little further out away from down town.

We were at San Antonio for just one day. So our hotel stay was nice. The only thing that we notice was there weren't enough towels.

It is quite nice to stay. Quite even very close to highway.

Good pool, easy WiFi, great access to I-10, half way between Medical Center and Downtown, walking access to a Starbucks and neat little Mexican restaurant behind it.

The staff was very friendly and the room appeared clean except for the empty package of boys underwear that was left. However, I would not stay here again. When we arrived we were greeted by 3 cop cars and a woman in handcuffs in the parking lot. My 16 year old stated that she would not stay here but I told her we had already paid for the room and could not find another room with 2 doubles at this late date. I found out that the woman was arrested for solicitation and not having an ID. I was then informed that this is not an unusual occurrence at the property and some (guests) have even joked about it asking if they were running a prostitution ring at the hotel. When we got to our room a suspicious woman was standing outside of the room next to ours and the door was cracked open. She would occassionally peek inside and ask if the person was "ready". I did not feel safe here and the fact that the door did not fit tightly against the door jam was scary. It was easy to slip something either through the top or the side of the door and daylight came through both. We put our stuff in the room and I told the kiddos that we needed to leave NOW to get something to eat because I didn't want to be out late around here (it was 9:00). We had to drive quite a way to find a McDonalds (there is really nothing that close) and it was in a bad area. When we came back about 45 minutes later, there was still one police car and he was questioning a group of people. I was surprised by all this since the hotel had 3 stars and good feedback. My children (17 & 13) refused to sleep in the bed next to the window because they were afraid.

We had an excellent time and were very satisfied with our hotel reservations. We got just what we had asked for, at a very good price and very comfortable and clean room. We highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay.
