Lackland AFB

The room was adequate for our needs. The pool was well kept and a nice spot to relax and cool off. The room was a bit worn but clean. Our son was at Lackland AFB for tech training and the hotel was no more than five minutes away with resturants close by. I would stay there again.

clean, helpful staff

We spent three nights at the hotel. It was clean and the rooms were nice. If we had planned to spend a lot of time in our room, we may have felt cramped, because they were just large enough for the two beds, TV and desk. The bathroom was roomy. Fortunately, we were there as tourists and did not spend much time in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. They gave us a map and directions to various tourist sites. The breakfast was good and the staff kept replenishing the supplies of fruit, juice and waffle batter as necessary. The breakfast also had muffins, pastries, cereal, yogart, milk and coffee. The large varity of choices was nice. The room only had three bath towels and we had four adults staying in the room. We asked for extra towels at the front desk and they immediately provided them. They also had plenty of towels available at the swimming pool. We were in a handicap accessible room and did have a problem with the shower flooding over the floor. We decided the problem was due to one member of our party using too much water pressure for the shower, which had no rim, since it was designed to be able to be used by a person in a wheel chair. Other members of our party did not have a flooding problem, because we used less water pressure. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The Thief

The location was great, we were less than half a mile to th AFB. However, the maids did something everyday to our stuff. The first two days in the room -- they didn't clean it!! The tub was so dirty that we stood on a towel the first night. After, speaking to the manager, the tub was cleaned. However; that same day the maids took $ in change from the table. The following day they took $ in change. The 3rd day, I noticed that my make-up bag was open and moved. To my horror, the new tube of lipstick had been used and was broken!! I brought all of this to the management staff and they were very sorry. That does not replace my lipstick or my child's money!!

We had a wonderful time in downtown San Antonio. The Riverwalk was awesome! Our youngest child enjoyed the Park Ranger program at the local Missions.

Easy access to Lackland AFB & Sea World

We were in S.A. for a graduation from basic training. The AFB was in walking distance from this hotel. We also were not too far from Sea World. We commuted into downtown S.A. easily & we liked that this hotel was out of town so to speak. There were not alot of dining options around & that was about the only bad thing about this location. It was clean, quiet, and fine for this kind of trip. It's nothing fancy. It has continental breakfast, a pool, and friendly staff. It was a good value & for a family of 4 the room was fine. We had an enjoyable stay & would likely stay there again.

Check out the Air Force planes on display at the base. You can get a visitors pass & walk around the base. My kids, husband, and I alike were amazed at the planes & took some great pictures! How often do you get a chance to touch a fighter plane?? You have to check them out!!
