It was ok. A little overpriced.
The older gentleman at checkin was a little off-putting. Mumbling under his breath and talking down to staff, but seemed to be in a joking manner. Breakfast ends at 9:00 am which is a little early on a holiday when I had the opportunity to sleep late, no breakfast. Business center was occupied 24 hrs a day by a suspicious group of people with extremely strong body odor. Otherwise, no problems.

It started with drunk smoking people at the door when we checked in. From there the remote and TV did not work (I had trade our remote for one in the exercise room). Drunk people running up and down the hallway. Calls to complain about the remote and drunks did little to help. [...]We woke up to three trailers (dog carriers) below us barking at 5:30 am. Called the desk again and was told they would be leaving shortly. I cancelled our second night at this hotel.

Great Hotel
My family and I really liked this hotel. The staff was very friendly and greeted us each time we walked through the lobby. The room was nice. The bed was comfortable and had 5 pillows. I will be staying here again the next time I am in San Antonio.

}"good hotel for our family vacation...
Our stay at La quinta inn La cantera was good i really liked the hotel and since it just opened in january (2010) it was almost new, it has a very short travel to sea world and six flags it is about 20 mins. from downtown and it has easy acces to the freeways, the only thing that bothered me was that the shower had power and a lot would come out with the extremely hot water but when i would try to get a good temperature the water had no power and very little water would come out i told the front desk and they said the maintance guy would fix it the next day and no one ever fixed it through out our stay :( but other than that everything else was good the rooms where nice and spacious and very clean...

very disappointed
I showed up at 6pm to checkin, stood there for over 10 min with no one at the counter. Then finally person showed up and informed me my room is not even cleaned yet that housekeeping staff was low (not MY problem sorry) so he took my cell # and said he will CALL me when I can check in and estimated about 45 min wait!! OK checkin is at 1pm. I needed to be dressed and ready to be somewhere in 45 min. but he offered no alternative. He said I would have to speak to manager the next day for my complaint. SO, i waited and waited. 45 min later I go back to counter and he said room should be done soon and I asked if he could go ahead and check me in to shorten time there at counter. [...]NICE...so here I'm thinking I will now have double room charges on my card when the stay isnt even worth the first charge!!! He told me housekeeping should be done with my room when I get up there. Well, big surprise..I get up there and they (3 of them) were chatting in the hall in front of my room, one eating fritos!!! They seen me stand there and asked if this was my room and then just one lady said all she needed to do is mop bathroom for me to come on in and put my clothes up. I did. Then she was done. Now room was nice and clean, I have no gripe about the room at all. Just the service. Now I do have to add, when I was done for the evening in town, came back to hotel to find NO space to park in. I had to park up in the grass by fence by the pool!! So apparently there are not the same amount of parking spaces as their are rooms. Nice planning. Oh and by the way, the manager wasnt in the next day for me to talk to either. Another big surprise....pretty sure la quinta isnt going to be one of my next choices to stay again!!!!!!!!

They charged me twice!
Although I booked my room through [...], the Hotel (La Quinta Inn & Suites La Cantera at 11155 West Loop 1604 North) also charged my credit card over $250 and have offered me no reason why nor have they refunded the charge.
