Big E and the Gang
Fantastic family getaway
Great location, great rooms and friendly staff. This hotel is a family friendly place. Our kids enjoyed the stay and had fun in the pool and had a peaceful night's rest.

Convenient location and close to Paseo Del Rio
The hotel is in a great location because you're just off the interstate but there's really not much else in the immediate area. However, you are close to downtown and the Riverwalk so it's walkable, except on hot days where it might be a little unbearable for some. Still, and best of all, parking is free which was my one requirement. The hotel provided continental breakfast each morning from 630am to 930am. The room itself was large and comfortable but basic. Overall I was very pleased with this hotel, the value, and the location.

You have to go to Rosario's for fantastic Mexican food. The restaurant is a about 4-5 blocks away from hotel and is very popular. Luckily it's big enough to accommodate many people so any waiting will be minimal.

Excellent vacation getaway
I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were very very very spacious. We had double beds that were very comfortable, as well as, microwave and refrigerator. The rooms are twice the size of most hotel room and it comes with a large livingroom area. Also, it is enough room for children. The breakfast was great, you could have fresh waffle made it the shape of Texas. Transportation to the attraction by bus are trolly were very close.

Nice room for the price
We stayed here while visiting San Antonio with four children. The room was quite large, with a fold out sofa which was nice. The outside pool was large but very chlorinated (but we are used to saltwater pools so it may have just been that we were sensitive) We had no problems during our stay. I found it to be too far of distance to walk to the riverwalk, but there is a trolley stop near by and or it is just a short drive. There is plenty of public parking that is reasonable near the riverwalk which is what we decided to do since we only spent 1 day in that area. It is a pretty good drive to seaworld, but the money we saved on the room was worth it. A good room for a great price.

Great Experience
We visited Lackland AFB to see our grandson graduate from Basic Military Instruction. We also visited some of the the historic sites such as the Alamo and the RiverWalk. It was a good time of the year to visit. The "tourists' were at a minimum and the weather was cool and comfortable.

NICE HOTEL
WE ATTENDED A FOOTBALL GAME AT THE ALAMODOME. THE TV SET WERE OLDER AND WE COULD NOT PLAY OUR VIDEO GAMES. WE HAD STAYED AT AN LA QUINTA IN WACO THIS SUMMER THAT HAD HD TV'S AND WE WERE ABLE TO HOOK UP THE CONSOLE. THE BUSINESS CENTER WAS LOCKED AND YOU HAD TO GET THE KEY FROM THE FRONT DESK TO USE IT. OTHER THAN THE ABOVE IT WAS A NICE TRIP. WILL PROBABLY ASK IN ADVANCE ABOUT THE TV IN THE FUTURE. GOT TO KEEP THE KIDS HAPPY.

Clean, well located, good parking
Great location for seeing Riverwalk, Alamo, etc. but also being able to hop on freeway to see son at Lackland AFB in just a few minutes. Place is clean, staff is friendly and helpful, and free breakfast is good.

Family stay
Great room (exec king w/sleeper sofa), fun pool, good breakfast. Only thing we were a little disappointed with was the distance to the Riverwalk. We did walk there and back, not a big deal, but it was not as close as we had thought it would be. Overall really great stay, would stay there again if we weren't dead-set on being closer to the Riverwalk.

Not the best for the amount of money
I was disappointed with LaQuinta. There were ants in the room, no towels available until 9 pm, when we checked in to the hotel, the staff was all confused and unfriendly. I believe I overpaid for this hotel room. The location was somewhat convenient but I would Not recommend this room to any one else, I was over charged on a fair room.
