Eye-catching interior design in a unique historical building

The Hotel Indigo at the Alamo could not be any closer to the key points of interest in San Antonio. The dignified, stately Gibbs Building blends with the surrounding architecture but once inside visitors experience an extraordinarily different environment, with contemporary styling and relaxed, colorful décor throughout. The atmosphere here is warm and friendly, customer service is paramount and friendly staff members happily assist guests with a variety of information and advice. The Hotel Indigo is just across the street from the Alamo, too.

3 Reasons To Stay:
  • Historic building with tasteful, stunning and contemporary décor
  • 100% smoke free environment, where guests' comfort comes first

  • Located next to the key San Antonio attractions and great for business too

Hotel Indigo SAN ANTONIO AT THE ALAMO Rooms
The range of textures and colors of the furnishings at the Hotel Indigo at the Alamo is stimulating and fun. Guests appreciate the wooden floors, marble surfaces, gloriously striped carpets and curtains. There are enormous artworks on the walls. There are bright, stylish interiors in the meeting and conference rooms. Rooms at the Hotel Indigo at The Alamo are clean and comfortable, with plush bedding and plenty of pillows. Awesome Weekend Trip

The hotel is very new and very clean. The location is amazing. You are less than 10 minutes from the Alamo, River Walk, and surrounding attractions...and the is less than 10 minutes walking distance. Great staff, very friendly and formal. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

When you exit the hotel, the Alamo is across the street, and the shops and restaurants are all along the river walk which is 1 block away from the hotel.

Good hotel, room for improvement

The hotel location was very good. The hotel itsself was beautiful. However, what really matters is the hotel room. We got a standard room (a queen bed) and we could barley move around in the room. We are both thin people, and that is the only reason why we could get from one place in the room to another. The hotel room right by us was a king bed and the room was much bigger. They said the hotel was fully booked so they could not switch rooms, but I never saw anyone on our floor so I dont know how they could be. The hotel offers a breakfast buffett for about $10. Skip it. The food is not good at all and you dont really get a meal. It took them FOREVER to get a room ready for us. Check out time is 11 am, yet we could not get a room till after 3:30 pm and that is when we had to ask numerous amount of times to get a hotel room ready for us. That was extremly annoying. Overall, it was a good hotel, but has lots of room for improvement.

Super location!

We visited the Riverwalk and the Alamo. The entrance to the Riverwalk was steps from our hotel. We enjoyed looking from our hotel window out to the square at the Alamo.

A liitle dissapointed

We stayed at this hotel because it was close to the Alamo and Riverwalk.Thought it would be better for the price. The bathroom was really small and the sink was in the other room. We also had about four crickets in the rooom.Staff was great but this hotel just wasn't for me.

We will stay here again.

This place is in a great location if you want to spend time on the Riverwalk or walk around the Alamo area. If they had a pool, it would have been a perfect stay. The entire staff was both helpful and friendly from the time that we dropped our car off with the valet until he delivered it when we were leaving. He even noticed that the car was shimmering a bit and suggested we have it checked out "just to be safe."

Nice experience, I'd return.

I had a nice experience at Hotel Indigo. I was in San Antonio for a conference and was late booking my trip. All the conference hotels were sold out and this was one of the hotels that came up in my search as still available. It was reasonable priced (especially for Memorial Day weekend), the pictures looked decent, and it was close to the convention center - which is were I had to be most of the time. I was pleasantly surprised when arriving. I was greeted outside by very friendly staff who took my bags to the front desk. I was called within 15 minutes to make sure everything in my room was okay. Additionally, the rooms were nice. While the hotel preserved alot of the architecture in the original building, everything is very modern as well with bright colors. Additional conveniences include plenty of channels to pick from and free wifi. They also have a nice buisness center, so I was able to print my boarding passes before heading back to the airport. Further, all staff (from the front desk to the waitresses in the cafe) were very friendly. It's also a great location...steps from The Alamo, with many great "tourist-y" things to do and see. I was able to walk to the convention center each day in less than 10 minutes. If I'm ever in this area of San Antonion again, I'd definitely stay here.
