Holiday Inn LACKLAND (SEA WORLD AREA)

Not in the greatest part of town, but of you are going for an airforce graduation it is nice because it is really close to the base. The room did not seem very clean, and the shower drain was clogged.. gross! Not the worst place I have slept, but definitely not the best. Also, breakfast will cost you some money..

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the location was great. We were 5 minutes from Lackland AirForce Base which worked out perfect to go to see our Airmen's graduation. We were also close to downtown San Antonio and all the attractions, the Riverwalk, Tower of Americas, Sea World, etc. another plus is the hotel was only about 20 minutes from San Antonio Airport. If your coming to San Antonio for an Airmen graduation or just to sightsee this is a great economical place to stay. About the only negative thing I could say is the lack of a Bible provided in the room,which to me is important.

The staff was AMAZING. Other reviewers commented on this, but I didn't realize what a difference a staff can make. Everyone went out of their way to be genuinely friendly and helpful. From the restaurant to housekeeping to the front desk to the lounge, the staff was wonderful. The accommodations are literally a couple minutes from Lackland AFB. Our room was an avererage Holiday Inn (clean and comfy), but the staff made our stay outstanding. We would definitely stay here again if we needed to be near the base.

The staff was amazingly nice and friendly and helpful which made it seem better even tho it was in fact, overall just your average Holiday Inn.

Great place to stay . Was there for my sons Air force Graduation and the Hotel was about 15 to 20 mins away. Staff was great. Very willing tohelp when needed. Will stay there again when and if we go to Texas again.

Not all the reviews were very pleasing so I was somewhat concerned;however, upon arrival I noticed 6-8 security cameras, so I felt very safe. The rooms/beds were fine and the pool/spa was clean & enjoyable.

Our son graduated air force bmt and the hotel was close to the base and easy to get to.We booked two rooms and both were good.Beds Were very comfortable and clean.The daily cleaning and reseting of the rooms was excellent.The day and night managers were very professional and helpful. I would stay again if in the area.

Our stay here was really wonderful. Our family stayed in a 2 Queen with 3 adults and 1 baby. I requested a portable crib and the staff was really fast about getting it. We also were able to check in early which was wonderful. If you are thinking of attending the Lackland AFB Graduation this hotel is literally just minutes away from the base which is the biggest reason we picked it. It also looked to be one of the nicer ones that was close by. The rooms were clean and not run down and the beds were actually comfortable! The ONLY minus I would have to give is sometimes if people slammed their doors, it could get loud. So if you are a light sleeper that might bother you. We turned our unit up loud to try to block the noise when we would go to sleep. Also the room service was pretty good, and we got complimentary breakfasts for 2 people and it was good for being free. The area surrounding the hotel is pretty rough looking but this hotel was a real gem! Also if you are booking for the AF Graduation then you should book through Sato Travel Agency. That's how we got the free breakfasts.
