Wished I would have booked elsewhere.
Other than being close to the Alamodome, (where my granddaughter was performing) and being fairly close to the Riverwalk, I was somewhat disappointed in this Holiday Inn. I was excited to see that I had a jacuzzi tub upon check-in, but when I saw all the mold in the caulking around the tub, I felt I had made the wrong hotel choice. When I stood in front of the bathroom sink, my leg literally touched the toilet. The furniture in the rooms were quite out-dated, and some walls were dirty.The hotel definitely could use remodeling. Breakfast was pretty good, and beds were comfortable though.

Perfect location for those arriving/leaving by Amtrak!~Generic Holiday Inn Express, just a tad overpriced but San Antonio is a Tourist town and October is a peak Convention/tourist time! Would stay again, breakfast was good!!

Excellent room
We choose the Holiday in express because we knew we would be sleeping in a decent room. The room exceed my expectation and the amenities were great. They offer to replace any missing necessities. The room was small but very clean. The bed was very comfortable. They also offer a full breakfast bar (waffles, fruits, bacon, sausage, eggs, cereal, milk, juices, coffee...) Although the location is a little bit further compare to the other hotels, for the price, I would stay there again!

Cowboy Fans
Great Stay, Rude Maids
We went to see the Dallas Cowboys at the Alamodome. Everything about this hotel was great, except the maids. We were expecting to sleep in, but the first maid burst into our room at about 10:00 a.m. the second maid burst in an hour later. I thought that was so rude, they know check out is till noon. I felt as though they wanted us to leave, so that she would finish cleaning her section. I am sure they knew we had not checked out, it was just their way of saying, hurry up.

Rocking place for Rock n Roll Marathon
I rented several rooms for my family to stay, while I ran the Rock n Roll Marathon so they could cheer me on. The location was fantastic, it was walking distance from the Alamodome where the Expo and finish line were and to my surprise, the first leg of the run passed so close to the hotel that I was suprised to see my family there waiting for me cheering me on. It was great! The breakfast was very good, nothing fancy but full of protein and carbs for us runners. The staff was great at check-in and check-out. I will definitely stay there again for next year's Rock n Roll Marathon San Antonio.

Frugal Marathon Runner

I was in town for the San Antonio Marathon, and this hotel was in the perfect location for a reasonable price. The breakfast was more than adequate. The hotel is maybe a 15 minute easy walk to the Riverwalk, and is very convienent to the airport and interstates. The area, however, is in the process of being regentrified, and a little unnerving if alone. Also, between the hotel and the interstate there are busy freight train tracks, and sometimes the trains stop and block the road for anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel
my daughter and I attended a concert at the AT&T center. The hotel was nice, but it was not located where they advertise. It was closer to 5 miles to the AT&T center in a not so good neighborhood. I could have stayed at a less expensive hotel as my friends did closer to the riverwalk. I thought by paying more it would have been nicer. They were doing work outside my window, which prevented me from sleeping in. I was disappointed to say the least.
