Not what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express
WE had to change our own sheets as they had not been changed. Bathtub was also not cleaned. Hair in the beds and in the tub. Not the correct # of toewls in the room either. When I asked about that I was told they were being laundered . We did with what we had.

We stayed for March madness games that weekend. We were able to walk to the riverwalk (30 min leisure walk), then at night we would take a cab back, which was never over $7. It was a bit loud outside at night because there was live music a block away. Breakfast was not too great, but it's free. The fitness center should not be considered one. It was smaller than our room, had an outdated elliptical, treadmill, and a broken recumbent bike. The pool was nice to lay out by, but didn't look like it was well cared for.

Nightlife tip:
Short drive from hotel
Walk to the riverwalk if the weather is nice then take a cab home for a safe, fast, inexpensive way home. Cab was always under $7.

Not bad
Did not like the $20.00 per day charge to my credit card. This was refunded at the end of my stay, but this caused some money problems.

Was very surprised by how big the room was for the low price I paid. Great room. Even had a seperate sitting area with a comfy couch and TV. More that I expected for the price. GREAT DEAL!

Hotel was nice, room was clean, and foods were good. But, maid service was not good. I found the empty bottles of sampoo/conditioner in the bathroom still after I asked maid service.

For a night is ok..
It is a mile away to riverwalk. Everything is ok if you stay a night. Because the bathroom is small and don't feel comfy. The weird part is they don't have KETCHUP for breakfast.

The breakfast could have been a little more appetizing. Other Holiday Inns we have stayed at had a wonderful breakfast with a waffle maker, fresh fruit, etc alot to choose from. Also if you did not get up early you were very limited with what you had. There was no soda machine and the soap machine was empty. But I have to say that at least it was clean and the staff was friendly. Too much traffic noise.
