Hilton Palacio - nice hotel
Traveling Wil Sep 30, 2009
You receive a good first impression upon walking into the lobby of this hotel. It's very clean and well-appointed. The hotel ... staff are very courteous and friendly, always giving you a friendly greeting as you walk by and coming and going from the hotel. The hotel itself has a good location, for business travelers it is right next door to the convention center, and the hotel has it's own entrance onto the Riverwalk. For dining and nightlife on the Riverwalk, just take the elevator to river level and it's a 2-3 minute walk to the heart of the restaurants and bars. For sightseeing and shopping, it's a 5-minute walk to The Alamo and the mall.

Nice location Sep 11, 2009
Hilton Palacio Del Rio was beautiful. The staff was great and location was amazing. The only thing I didn't like was the ... parking. I can't believe i have to pay $22 dollars for parking and the parking was not even in the hotel, it was a block away! I understand parking in down town San Antonio is hard but you already paying big bucks for staying at the hotel. I don't think is fair that I have to over $100 just for parking.

At the Market Square there is a restaurant called Mi Tierra, it was awesome! It is open 24 hrs. The decor is something to see & the food is great. The prices are very good & the bakery inside is truly an experience in itself. You can walk or take the trolley. Stay there & enjoy the market shops also!

Hotel was great! The only down fall of this hotel is you have to pay $22.00 a day to park and the showers are not all that ... great. The rooms were very clean and nice, if you want on the internet you pay $10.00 a day to access. We will stay there again.

Labor Day Trip
Labor Day Family Trip Sep 7, 2009
It would have been way better if the hotel had its parking underneath or in the same block of hotel and without a charge, ... because we had to pay extra for parking $22 a day if we wanted to park ourselves or $35 if we wanted valet parking, which is too much because you pay a lot for room then extra money for parking, which it doesn't say it in the hotel information.

Enjoyed the stay at the Hilton. Service was excellent. The only thing I didn't like was the price for parking. $22 a night ... or $30 a night for valet. It would have been much cheaper to pay the parking garage attendent which is half a block away. Prices on breakfast were a little high. $17 dollars for a bowl of fruit and a pancake. But overall the stay was great. The Alamo is only a couple blocks away and your right on the river.

I would just to say that Orbitz is a great company to deal with. I made a terrible mistake and clicked on the wrong dates ... that I needed the hotel room. About a week before leaving I double checked my information and realized the mistake. I contacted Orbitz right away and they made the changes immediately with no hassles and no extra fee. They contacted the hotel and it was solved in one phone call. Thank you very much for such great service.

The Hilton Palacio Del Rio was located in a great spot. Central to just about everything that we wanted to do. If I HAD to ... give one complaint it was that the parking garage was a half a block away. It was not that bad until the elevator for the garage went out and my car was on the 7th floor. But besides that our stay there was nearly perfect!

Great Hotel & location, exensive valet
maryliz624 Aug 24, 2009
Great location. Super friendly staff. We stayed in a room with two beds and one bed does not fit two people comfortably. ... Valet is $35 which is expensive to me. If you do not valet keep and eye on your room charges you will get charged for valet every single day. My brother had the same experience. Self park is $22/day and it is a block away. Other than parking experience I enjoyed my stay.
