Hill Country resort provides seven acres of amenities in San Antonio
The Hill Country Inn and Suites at Salado Creek Villas is a seven acre resort in the heart of Texas Hill Country, near San Antonio. You get what you pay for.
We got this hotel at a very low rate, so we weren't expecting much. The hot tub didn't work correctly and was in disrepair. The Internet had very poor connectivity. The one TV had a rolling picture and was difficult to turn on. Our shower was fine, but our friend's room had little water pressure. Our coffee maker didn't work. The refrigerator froze our food. The location is right on a highway. We had a big roach behind the kitchen sink. The bathroom sink is not in the bathroom, but next to the kitchen sink. Cheap, but not terriblely gross!

Good place but....
Nice rooms and convenient location, but the room cleanliness was not good enogh, the bed was not made and when i ask they say because my reservation does not includ it, but when i checked out i claim agin bout it and they say it hould be done and just "im sorry"

we stayed there while visiting family. it is easy to find, well maintained,. we lonved the quaint atmosphere that you miss at larger hotels. the staff were friendly anr helpful.

Hotel breakfast needs some improvement. Only had bread and cereals. No hot food. Soda and ice machines were out of order

Great family stay
We just relocated to San Antonio and needed a place to stay until we got an apartment. This was the perfect place for us. Afordable, and the kids loved it.

Good place to stay
It is more like an older cabin set up rather than a traditional motel. The cost was very reasonable and the room was fine. I feel I got more than I paid for. Location is great for north San Antonio. Will definitely stay there again when we visit our grandchildren.

The good, the bad, and the really ugly
Based on what I saw online, I was quite disappointed in my room. Carpet was extremely dirty, bathroom floor was lumpy from what appeared to be water damage, toilet seat had holes in it from urine being there for an extended period, roaches, blankets worn out with holes, lights went out twice in the bathroom, curtains not hung properly, and metal bars were sticking out from under the beds. I hit my ankle on the bar, and I my ankle still hurts. I I can say that everyone on staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and cordial. The area was really family oriented and clean outside. The pool was very nice with the picnic areas too. If my room had been , in better condition,this would have been a wonderful stay. I am not sure what the other rooms were like, but I would never stay there again. Oh, and breakfast was good and area was clean.

From checking in to checking out everything was a disaster. We had to change rooms because of a lack of cleanliness and broken or torn items in the room. Once we switched rooms,it was much better. The rooms were badly in need of a good dusting and sanitizing. Breakfast provided was a complete disaster.
