Did the job for BMT graduation
This is a budget hotel and I needed a place in a pinch for BMT graduation. Was really close to the base, and I just had very minor complaints. I did not see any bugs, the room was cleaned daily and the staff was helpful when I had a problem with my key.

good location
Slight urine smell when first entering room, fan in bathroom didn't work. Notified staff, quick response, but never fixed the problem. Sound of gun fire across the street on a Saturday night, which lasted about 7 minutes. Otherwise, when I checked out I got a bill for sixty dollars less than they charged my credit card. Apparently, if you book the room on line you pay more to have a refundable rate. The hotel was never full on any day we were there (4 days, Wed-Sun) Save your money and check in and get your room when you arrive. They charge your room immediately when you book it. I got my bill prior to leaving for the trip. Not cool in my book! Room was quiet (except for the gun shots) and comfortable. Still cheaper than the surrounding hotels. Easy to find from highway, Very close to Lackland. We went to see our daughter graduate from basic training and we had a god time. Would recommend if you're not too picky about the details. Close to shopping and food places.

Econo Lodge San Antonio
The rooms were clean, but had a musty odor. I think it might have been the A/C. Other than that, very pleased.

Good location to Lackland
Went to see a friend graduate from basic training at Lackland Air Base. This hotel is in a very convenient location to the base. The staff was great and the room was comfortable especially for a low cost hotel. I do have one complaint. We referred some friends during our visit and they got their room quite a bit cheaper than us and they had two beds and we had one.

I did not really like the ...
I did not really like the hotel at all, so I don't have anything to comment about. It had really bad smell which I did not expect from one hotel and the air conditioning system is not modern and it was very loudy. In general I was very disappointed. Sorry to say that but this how I felt. By the time I opened the door, I was going to go back somewhereelse. But it was to late to do that. The hotel needs a lot of improvement.

Econo Lodge San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas 6-26-2008 to 6-30-2008 our stay was very comfortable, the room size was what we aked for one bed, table t.v. couch, the cleaning staff was very eager to help and make sure that we had everything that we needed and that our room was clean,there was a nice area to walk our dogs, and it was very close to everything
