Great Place to Stay

A great place to stay that is right on the river and close to most of the attractions. The staff was friendly and glad to help if needed. Highrise parking was conveniently located near our room. We were able to walk out of our room and out a door and get to our parked car just a few feet away. You needed your room key to get into the building so security was good. The beds were comfortable and the television provided was a flat screen and seemed to be fairley new. The shower worked great and all the plumbing drained well. The airconditioning was quiet and worked well. The room was cleaned and kept stocked with all the necessary items on a dailey bases. We had WiFi which came in handey.

weekend getaway

Chose this hotel for location and complimentary breakfast. Located on quieter end of riverwalk. Breakfast included something for everyone. Good security for street entrance to hotel. Entrance on St.Mary's street adjacent to busy bus stop, needed room key to enter hotel. Comfortable bed, great pillows. I like thicker towels...... Bring hand lotion - none in bathroom.

Kckback Drinks And Snacks

The "Kickback" amenity was appreciated, but the food service was disappointing. The drinks were limited and only of "adequate" quality. The snacks were the same every evening and disappointing in choices and quality. The staff was gracious and enthusiastic, but..... not compensation enough! We were not expecting the same drink and faire options each evening nor the disappointing quality of the snacks. We would stay at the Drury again. But we would forgo the evening Kickback amenity--except for a couple of mixed drinks the first evening.

The front desk personnel provided great tips on best restaurants both off the River Walk and on it. And, they gave us good advice about metro transit options.

35th wedding anniversary

The room was comfortable and spacious. It was dog friendly as we had our 2 little dogs. Happy hour was great with 3 free drinks and hot snacks. However we had 2 choices of rooms because we booked on line. One was over the parking garage 2nd floor and the other was a corner unit with a slight view of the river walk and over the bus stop which runs all day and night(which we took). I asked why we couldn't have a balcony and she said its more expensive and we booked on line. It almost seemed like she didn't want to be bothered with on line people. That part of the trip was bad and of course sleeping was bad.
