Comfort Inn & Suites Near the AT&T Center

The hotel staff was completely unresponsive to several issues brought to their attention:1. There was no way to contact the front desk from the room. The phone would just ring and ring and ring. This was brought to their attention 2 times by myself and at least 1 time from another customer and the staff simply shrugged and said they were at the desk the whole time. Until the manager actually attempted to call from another phone, did they accept the phones were not working. This had been going on for more than 24 hours.2. The pillows and floors had Goathead stickers. I personally walked the sticker down to the manager and put it in her hand. She seemed upset by this[...].3. Among the goathead stickers on the pillow/floor were also a used toothpick, peanuts, Cheetos, and human hair.3. The hand towel rack in the shower fell off the wall when I put the wash cloth on it. When I brought this up to the staff member behind the front desk, he literally shrugged and said "yeah."4. They offered shuttle service to the arena about a mile away but then said that it can take a long time to get picked up. We opted not to use the shuttle service which was a good thing considering their phones were not working and we would have been stranded. Upon further investigation, they are not supposed to offer travel other than to the airport.5. The pool is not so much a pool as a 8 by 5 cement hole next to the laundry room vent so you are constantly hit in the face with hot humid air from the vent. It does smell like laundry though, so plus 1 point.6. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything from the adjacent rooms. I was convinced my cell phone was vibrating but it was the person next door snoring.7. The air conditioners will NOT stay on. You need to put them on 65 for them to stay on longer than 5 seconds.DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL.

I went to visit my wife at Fort Sam Houston and I had a wonderful visit. The hotel is two years young so all the amenities were great. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean and inviting. They actually took me to and from the airport, base and Downtown for free! It wasn't a five star hotel but for the price it can't be beat!

My Husband and I stayed two nights in this hotel for a concert and a trip to Fiesta Texas for Memorial Day Weekend. The Hotel itself was a nice hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful, but the location was TERRIBLE! We were in a very bad part of town, we never ran into any trouble, but felt very uncomfortable. Nevertheless, we had a great time in San Antonio!

The hotel was nice and affordable I would recommend it to a friend.

The location is convenient to all the downtown attractions, however it is not in a very desirable neighborhood. Our reservation was for a room with a king size bed and when we got there we were told they were sold out of these rooms, so we did not get the room we reserved. The hotel is supposed to be all non-smoking, but our room smelled of smoke. We were very close to the front desk and we discovered that some of the night staff are smoking at the desk and it would seep into our room! One day our room was not cleaned at all and they didn't seem to care when we brought it to their attention. It was cleaned on the other days, but not very well. The breakfast buffet was very limited. Lots of starches and thats it. They did not have any fruit or yogurt, only cereal, breads and waffles. Most days it was so crowded you could barely find a place to sit and then they would run out of things. The pool is very small and the hot tub was not filled.

The room was fine, clean, non-smoking as expected. However, the staff was untrained. [...] at 6:30 am the first morning of our stay the fire alarm was set off by someone burning toast? In the employee breakroom? Then the elevators were broken and they stayed that way. This was a nightmare of a trip..........

Once the hotel was located, everything was great! Personnel was very helpful with confirmation and knowledge of area.

The staff was helpful and the room was ok. For the price it was a good deal. The only thing is that there was a beer bottle in the room when we arrived, not very clean.
