Dirty Sheets
When I arrived in the room, I had to immediately call the front desk to have the sheets replaced. The sheets had hair all over them on both beds. Also. One of the sheet had a big urine stain in the middle. When house cleaning arrived, they had to keep going to get new sheets because aal the sheets head stains. They eventually showed me the stains on the cleanest sheets they could find and ask me those were ok. Also, the peep hole was stuffed with paper. I suspect the previous guest did this for privacy. The room itself was nice. My issue is with the dirty sheets.

Jackpot!!!!
This is the best place in San Antonio. convinent, close to a gas station, awsome and important to my girlfriend. i wanna stay at the Candlewood for as long as my relationship lasts with my beloved. the room is perfect, the female staff at the front desk are hot. just pefect for me and my love

Great place and close to everything!
This hotel was clean and rate very reasonalbe! I stayed 9 days, the only negetive thing is...they didn't clean the room one day.

Great Stay
Our family visited San Antonio to see my brother graduate from BMT at Lackland Airforce Base. Great hotel + accommodations; the room was well stocked, clean + comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and never had a complaint. The location was PERFECT- a few mins away from downtown San Antonio, and perhaps 15 mins from Lackland Air force base. No complaints at all. Oh yes, and FREE LAUNDRY MACHINES. Incredible.

Mi Tierra is really close; a few mins driving away, and worth the delicious food + service. Open 24 hours, too. Something we're use to in NJ but apparently, it's an exciting thing to have in TX.

Great staff!!!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even gave our car a jumpstart after I left the lights on in our rentel car. The hotel was nice, but the staff really made the stay worthwhile, from the cleaning staff, to the desk staff, to the on duty manager, everyone was so nice, helpful, and friendly.

Parking can range from 5 dollars to 18 dollars a day by the riverwalk/Alamo. You might want to take a cab instead of driving as a cab cost us 8 dollars, but dropped us off right at out destination.

Comfy, clean and lots of extras!
We really enjoyed our stay at Candlewood Suites Downtown in San Antonio. The beds were the most comfortable motel beds I had ever slept in, and the bedding was superior as well. Our room had high ceilings and a kitchenette with dishes and cookware that made up for the lack of a restaurant. The free coffee was very good, the pool area was also very pleasant. The staff were friendly and accommodating. If this hotel had not been located next to a freeway and high tension power lines, it would have been perfect.

Great place to call home base
The hotel had everything a traveler could need, it is very clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Really liked the idea of the fitted kitchenette and the free laundry. Coffee is free all day and snacks are available on site. It is in walking distance of the downtown attractions without being in the middle of the hub-bub and also only a block away from the trolley. The area it is in is older (near historic district) but also includes some other top-name hotels. We did a LOT of walking around the area and had a lovely time. The one thing that is missing is a restaurant on site but there are plenty of them in the downtown area (pizza and oriental are a block away).

Be prepared to be confused by the freeway and street systems in San Antonio if you are driving and make practice runs if you are returning a rental car.

Great Stay
Great location. Easily accessible to the blue street car route. Clean, pleasant room. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.
