Prime location with free breakfast and focus on local Tex-Mex standouts
The three-story, non-smoking Best Western Alamo Suites is just a mile from Market Square and the Amtrak station and provides a free continental breakfast for its guests seven days a week. Parking is free -- a rarity -- as is high-speed Internet access. The pool is indoors and heated. A fitness center stands at the ready. Beautiful hotel, fantastic staff
The hotel and the rooms are just fantastic. Beautiful, clean and large rooms with sitting area and with comfortable beds. The staff was helpful and very nice. The location is not the best, close to the interstate, but the rooms are completely quiet. Walking to the center/riverwalk area is about 15min, but you can take the trolley as well. We walked in the evening too. The close streets did not seem really nice, and we hardly met anyone there, but they are well lit.

Great hotel
Great hotel. Very clean facility, nice size room, and room service was excellent. Location is right off the freeway and very close to Downtown River Center. Great price, friendly staff, indoor jacuzzi and pool, nice continental breakfast, free 24-hour coffee, microwaves, freezer, free Internet and free USA Today daily newspaper made it a perfect stay.

Family Valentine Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel the rooms were big enough so we didnt feel so tight in one area the pool was great indoors since the weather was cold outside the indoor pool was great and we never once needed the heater beacause the room was warm without the heater which was great.

Great Value
This hotel is a little off the beaten path, but you can still walk to the Riverwalk. The surrounding neighborhood looks kind of like a war zone, but it's practically deserted...safe and quiet. My room was nice and quiet, and included a full-size fridge and microwave. However, due to the partition between the bed and the sitting area, you can't watch TV from the sofa. That's the only negative I can come up with.

Wonderful experience
Our experience was perfect. This was a get away for my boyfriend and I. We wanted a quiet place to stay and to be close to the River Walk and we got both. The room was very clean and comfortable and has a great a/c. I am very picky about bathrooms and this one was great. Great shower head and water pressure. We could not have picked a better place. We would definately stay there again.
