Prime location with free breakfast and focus on local Tex-Mex standouts
The three-story, non-smoking Best Western Alamo Suites is just a mile from Market Square and the Amtrak station and provides a free continental breakfast for its guests seven days a week. Parking is free -- a rarity -- as is high-speed Internet access. The pool is indoors and heated. A fitness center stands at the ready. Good Business location for San Antonio
I was attending a show at the Convention Center downtown San Antonio. Getting to and from the show was only a few minutes away. What was good about the location, easy to get to not a busy area. Rooms are renovated and solid, heard no noise and there were some kid groups in the hotel. Rooms well stocked, full fridge, microwave, coffee pot, TV, free internet. Hotel also has indoor pool/jacuzzi as well as free parking. The continental breakfast enough for a start to the day, waffles, boiled eggs, cereal, toast etc. Missing is the location its in an industrial area, need to have a car not much around in walking distance. Workout area has only 3 machines elliptical machine, bike and tread machine. There is only one elevator and the majority of parking is in the rear of the building. I would stay there again fit my needs to a T.

Check out the Alamo, its right downtown and its free. Take a walk on the Riverwalk, really pleasant no matter what time of the year you are there.

Great Stay for the price
Great stay for the price, close enough to all the hotspots of San Antonio but away from the chaos of traffic, Continental Breakfast was excellent, rooms was clean as well as bathroom, fridge came in handy as well as the microwave, only thing that is needed is a cash machine in the lobby. Would stay here on the next visit

Be aware that parking is never free. We drove around forever to find good (free) parking which is nonexistent.

LOVED OUR STAY!!!
The hotel was very clean and neat. Seemed relatively new. Parking is free, which was very important to me. It is only about 1 mile from downtown, and was very convienient. Easy to find your way around. The breakfast was great! I highly recommend this motel. It was in a safe place, and I never felt uneasy.

Short walk from hotel
If you have a car, look around for better prices on parking. It is available for 5-6 dollars per day, with a short walk. A restaurant that was great and suggested by some locals, was called, "Twin Sisters", and it is downtown. Worth searching for!

Not going there again
The bed was ok, but the sheets were not changed, the carpets were dirty. The service in the bathroom was very poor; I had to ask for wash clothes once and then they would leave only one a day for the rest of our stay, it was too frustrating to keep asking. The coffee cups ( hot paper cups) were soiled even tho the plastic cover around it was sealed. They would leave one or two a day and same with the plastic cups. We did not want to use the coffee maker because it was not clean. The outside area was very poor and dirty with broken bottles, etc. not safe to walk at night. I give it a fat "0". We asked for Military discount, and were told "no" because we went through Cheap Tickets and had already paid.

Amazing Get Away
I was there to visit my boyfriend stationed at Ft Sam Houston, the staff was so nice and the king suite was perfect :) Thanks, and see you in November!!!

Anniversery getaway
The room was nice Not as large as the picture made it seem. The location was horrible on a one way feeder road. with no dining establishments in the vicinity.Close to downtown not true.the view was either power station or field.
