La Quinta Inn and Conference Center San Angelo

I have stayed at this property several times, usually on one of the busiest weekends of the year in San Angelo. The hotel is basic but clean and comfortable.

Good clean room, comfortable bed and reasonable price. Very Satisfied.

The room was clean but the motel is showing it's age. Not well designed. It stretches more than a football field from end to end and if you don't get a room near the office, and you're cabbing it, be prepared to walk and climb some stairs. Relatively close to Goodfellow AFB. But the cabs in St. Angelo cost a fortune. The Redball taxi I called for decided to pick up someone else and charge us both. But that's not the hotel's fault. You can stay at the hotel and have a decent night's sleep.

simple, clean, no problems

Hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast was nice. Internet was poor.

This is my 2nd stay, as a business traveler i picked this hotel because of the excellent room rate and I love La Quinta's breakfasts. This hotel is good for the business traveler because it is close to restaurants, a shopping center, a couple of miles from Best buy, Wal-Mart, Sams;s, etc. Another eqason is the location, close to hwy 67 and right on the loop.

It appears the hotel is in need of a serious overhaul. The only reason we wne to the hotel was because all other hotels were full because of the event we were attending. The tub was very dingy looking, and we were afraid to take a shower in it. The toilet seat was warped and disgusting looking. THe sheets do not look as if they had been changed since the last person that was there, especially on the roll-away bed that we requested (on-line, but we still had to ask fr when we got there). Because of there scarcity of rooms, they were able to charge a much higher rate than the room deserved. If La Qinta can prfoit off such things, it would help the company's reputation to use that to improve the quality of their rooms.

The hotel is very old. The room smelled very bad of cigarette smoke, the sink leaked and I had to lay towels on the carpet to just stand there to get ready in the morning. The ceiling had numerous cracks and I was pretty sure the person staying above my room was going to come through based on the amount of noise from them walking across the floor. I could not sleep until the person stopped moving which was around midnight.

The staff at this La Quinta are all very friendly. The hotel is older but the rooms are large and equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave. We had a non-functioning remote for the television, but after we told the people at the front desk, the maintenance man brought a new remote very quickly. The bath tub in our room did not drain well and so showering also included standing in several inches of water. Also, because the hotel is older, it is rather noisy. There seemed to be a family of about 35 people staying in the room next to us and we could hear virtually all of their conversation in the morning. Well, maybe it was only a family of four or five but the children made enough noise to equal 35 people. So the walls in the rooms are not too well insulated. Overall, it was more than adequate for our one night stay in San Angelo. The hotel does offer a very, very nice continental breakfast.

The staff was very polite and efficient. The hotel was more than I expected for the price I paid.
