Sun Suites of Plano

Wanted a place to stay in Dallas while watching Granddaughter compete in Gymnastics. The night staff was very good but the hotel stank like a ashtray. We were in a nonsmoking section and it even smelled outside. The smell even permiated our cloths. This hotel needs a thorough cleaning.

hwy noise, nice people in the office, good value for the money, I liked the small kitchen even tho I did not need it. this is a good place to stay if you had a long stay

The bathroom air filter made noisy, and bed cover had some smell.

There are teenagers hang out in this area until late. A night tmie security needs to be improved.

I requested a handicap room. But when I arrived, they gave me a regular room. I started to leave and thought I better ask if it was a handicap room. He told me "no". When I pointed out that I had requested one, he became irritated and reluctantly gave me a handicap room. The Clerk gave me the worst room they had! Very depressing room. Not one courtesy item in the room. No soap, no shampoo. They had a coffee maker, but no coffee. Small kitchen with no cooking utensils, no dish soap. No ice machines. The had ice tray in the refrigerator, but no ice bucket or serving tray! They had toilet paper but no tissues. First night, before we could get into the room, one of the guest threw up, twice in front of our room. I called the front desk (after the phone rang about thirty times before he answered)and asked that someone please hose off the walkway, because the smell was horrible. He sounded as if I was irritating him again. They showed up about an hour later and only hosed one spot and left the other one. Un-believable!!If I could have gotten a refund I would have left the motel right then and there. But unfortunately because I pre-paid through [...], I could not get a refund!! I will never stay there again! I will never pre-pay again. NEVER!

This is a good place for a night away from home. It's nothing fancy, of course. But good enough for my boyfriend and me. It was a nice, quiet night. Bathroom was very clean. Good kitchen for a small meal. Other guests didn't start making noise until about 8-9am, which is when we left to check out.

Lacked basic amenities e. g. no drinking glasses, coffee brewer, but no supplies.

I came to the Dallas area for a conference and was looking for a budget hotel near the DART 452 bus line, and Sun Suites fit the bill. I had to hike across a few parking lots to get to the bus stop, but everything worked out fine and I saved a lot of money. CVS is within walking distance for grocery shopping and several interesting (but pricey) ethnic restaurants are nearby. I made my reservation online, and the check-in process was a breeze. The suite was clean, comfortable, and came equipped with dishes for two. You'll need your own dish soap, however. If you're accustomed to normal hotel service, you might be surprised by the once or twice a week linen changes and cleaning, but it didn't bother me at all. Better for the environment anyway. There was an extensive and reasonably priced order-in menu, but I didn't try it. My only tiny complaint is that my bath towel had numerous stains on it, but it smelled clean so I didn't make a fuss.

They had my reservation date wrong and no one was at the desk for my previously reserved late check-in, had to wait outside late at night. The room smelled very bad, the interior was old, although everything was clean and working. This extended stay hotel's obvious primary use is for social services paid stays, they don't cater to travelers and only do room service once a week (towels, bed linens, empty trash, etc).

@09:00 pm we where lost, in Dallas Ft Worth, we called our destination, only voice no one to help us. took over 2.0 hours to find this location. On departure from Hotel they would not print our boarding passes
