Days Inn Dallas Plano

The best thing I can say is that nothing was horrible. But the property has seen better days and my room needed basic maintenance. The shower are had poor lighting, the fan rattled, and the toilet did not seem to be fastened to the floor (it rocked, but thankfully did not leak). The carpet at the foot of the bed had some dark stains on it (not sure I wanted to know), and on my second night, a 3 inch "tree roach" (I've lived in Texas long enough that they don't freak me out) crawled up the wall. The price was *very* good, though, so I guess the saying "you get what you pay for" applies.

I came to Plano for Hypnosis training and the hotel where the training was held was too expensive. So, I stayed here for the two weeks and I am happy I did. The hotel is easy to get to, but far enough off US-75 to get away from the noise. The staff was very nice. Several restaurants and stores within walking distance (less than 1 mile.) Fudruckers, an upscale Taco place, and a good Indian restaurant are within 200 meters. A regular diner is across the street...ask the hotel staff, they will help you find it. Steak and Shake is about 1/8 mile north. Very comfortable beds, nice continental breakfast, coffee pot with coffee grounds in the room everyday, and a small but very clean swimming pool in the back...Awesome!!! The free Wi-Fi was a nice added bonus. Had a friend stay at a hotel down the road, that was almost twice the price...without the options Day's Inn Plano had. Thanks to everyone there.

Hotel is a little old but kept decent for the price. I would stay here again

The hotel is in a good area in Plano - if you're looking for some calm or visiting UT Dallas.. They have decent breakfast and the staff is pleasant. Overall, it is beyond average - if you're not going to spend a lot of time in the hotel, this is the perfect place - good price, decent place. Also, there's a bunch of restaurants and stores VERY close to the hotel but the hotel is hidden away from the street so it is hard to find.

Staff were most helpful and facility was very clean.

I was pleasantly surprised by consistent reach by the hotel staff and to the extent they could , they reached out to accommodate my requests inclusing late night towels and cleaning

For the money and the closeness to my family it was worth it. The continental breakfast was simple, the room was decent, the shower didn't work well, I would stay here again just because the price was good, and the closeness to my family and shopping etc.

I booked this room at the Plano Days Inn because of the online claim that the room had a refrigerator. I never did find the refrigerator and told the staff as I checked out on day two. The clerk acted surprised and when she said that it should be right under the microwave, I told her that there was an empty cabinet under the microwave. Secondly, the shower head was hanging down by the hose because the apparatus which connects it to the holder (so you can stand under it and take a normal shower) was broken. Therefore the only way to shower was to hold the shower head in one hand and scrub with the other. Also, the showerhead handle was cracked and water was spraying out of the crack. I also reported that to the staff. Both of those problems are easy things to fix, and there is no excuse for the hotel manager not to know about them and not to fix them. Because of that I will choose another hotel chain on future travels.

This hotel was a good value. It is convenient to everything. We stayed for several nights for the quilt show in Plano. Only short coming was the breakfast - not much available for someone that is diabetic.
