Quality Inn & Suites

Spent hours trying to call the hotel to double check booking and request a roll-a-way bed. Every time I called, I would be put on hold and hung up on. Hotel was under construction and dust was everywhere. The breakfast tables were covered in dirt. Every surface was coated with filth. It reeked of cigarette smoke in our "nonsmoking" room. My husband fell off the toilet due to a broken toilet seat. I could see that someone had tried to resist someone entering the bathroom due to the shoe and hand prints on the backside of the bathroom door. My family was coughing and hacking due to the dust/dirt/cigarette smoke in the air. When I tried to check out, the people at the front desk would not let me. They said I had to speak to the manager, Lopes, in the morning to get a refund. I said I didn't want to wait until the morning. I wanted a refund immediately and wanted to leave immediately. The front desk lady refused. I said there was no way for me to stay because I didn't have a roll-a-way bed because they were out by the time I got there so we were one bed short. The woman handed us a fitted sheet for him to sleep on on the floor. When I asked for blankets, pillows or something to make an emergency cot out of, she said they were out. I spent the night and was at the front desk at 9 am when the manager was to be in. He wasn't. I waited an hour and a half for the manager. When he finally showed up, he refused to refund me for the night even though I was forced to stay there in the unhealthy conditions. Eventually he "graciously" offered $25/room and canceled my second night. I complained to Choice Hotels International and they were appalled at his disrespectful treatment and my money was refunded. Choice Hotels attempted to call them and was repeatedly put on hold and hung up on just like I was! When they asked the manager to make amends with me, all he did was offer me 30% off my next stay at his hotel and an upgrade to a suite. I was so insulted. I would NEVER stay there again. I'd sleep in my car before I slept in such a dirty hotel with such an unhelpful staff.

It's unusual to find a lodging location where there often is a sign at the desk that the attendant will return shortly, and where there is a sign that the manager on duty is so and so, but the individual is not present on site.

We where here for one night, on a Friday night, with our 3 kids. This place has a public bar that is super loud that is open till 2am. We where given our 2 double beds room and everything seemed nice when we walked in the door UNTIL, we walked in the restroom. Human hairs everywhere, on the floor, tub, you name it. The tub was disgusting!! All the paint was peeling off and the worst part was the mold that was all around it. I was embarrassed when my 5 year old ask why there was poop in the tub! How do they expect you to take a shower, or much less a bath, in a dump like that? The front desk lady was kind to give us another room which was unfortunately in the SAME condition! If you don't plan to use the restroom and the shower, this is a good place to stay. The only good things where the beds and the hot breakfast. Would hesitate to recommend this place. Even though it seems very hard to find something at a good price in Odessa. Another thing, DO NOT, go and eat at the IHOP down the road. You will have another bad experience there too. Will not recommend you stay in Odessa! Keep driving for another few hours!

Like I stated before nothing to brag about!

Since i was gone all day and worked 6 days per week, i really didn't get to enjoy the hotel amenities.
