Midtown Hotel Midland

I set up online for this hotel as the pictures give a great overview. Well, my guys check in and yes the lobby is nice until you step into your room. The towels were nasty and bathroom gross, as they pulled back the sheets, there were protective items for men on both the beds if you know what I mean! That is so disgusting. After complaining, all they were told is "well do you want another room?" OF COURSE!!!! So if your just wanting a nice new pool to jump into and not a room, go here! If you need a bed, pay extra somewhere else! Horrible place to sleep for the price.

We had very nice rooms. Everything was clean, much of it was new, and the faclitiy has undergone renovation. The continental breakfast was standard but good. Could only be improved with eggs and sausage. At a time in Midland and Odessa where rooms are hard to find and when you do are very expensive, this is really a quaity room at reasonable prices.

This hotel may be the only reasonable option in the local market which is extremely overpriced for hotel rooms. You get what you pay for in this hotel. The building is under renovation and rather cheezy. I've seen worse hotels, but this one needs much more improvement before I'd give it more than 1 star.

I was very disappointed in this place. Coffee maker in room, but no coffee and no cups. No facecloth with bath linens. Linens were dingy and very old looking. Ice maker on floor was inoperable; in fact, someone had thrown a bunch of cereal in the bottom of it, and nobody had bothered to clean this out. Vending machine would only accept "exact change", and it wouldn't accept coins, meaning I couldn't purchase a soda. Floors in the room weren't very clean, and in the bathroom, my feet got dirty standing on the floor after taking a shower. Tub was stained and in bad shape. At the the "free breakfast" - no coffee (coffee maker was broken), no juice (juice machine was broken), they didn't even set out a pitcher of ice water. There was milk for cereal, which was the only "beverage". I recommend staying away from this place until the owners can figure out if they want to remain in business or not.

Not to bad this is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and it is average. Couple issues this time around. The desk clerk told me I'd be able to see my vehicle from my room....obviuosly she had not been around her hotel much as there was a LARGE industrial dumpster and a powered 2-person lift totally blocking the parking on my side of the building and I could barely see 1/2 my vehicle from the window if I got in one corner to look! Next we had no water or coffee cups and I had to call twice before they were finally delivered. Last but not least my room was about as far away from the desk as you could get and one of our room keys did not work! After making my way to the desk, and getting lost twice, there are no signs showing which way the desk or lobby are, she did get the key fixed.

A great batgain. The room was much better than the general condition of the hotel. comfortable, quiet and functional.

The Hotel is in the middle of rentovation, I imagine tha that is why the price was low. When the hotel is completed it is going to be very nice. For $85.00 per night it's a winner. Location could be better, but it is only 10 min from downtown. The Hotel is being made over into a Bistro Hotel with Modern furnishings etc. Complimentary breakfast was a convenience that was nice. The room was large, clean and modern. Staff was accomodating. Main issue was that the my iron did not work so I had to go to my meetings with a wrinkled shirt. bb I would stay there again, I would just check and make sure the iron worked before I went to sleep. This place is a work in progress that I am sure will only get better.b

They were doing construction on hotel staff not polite and for the price I rather stay in a super 8

The hotel messed up our reservations and turned us away when we checked in at 10pm. When we finally got the reservations confirmed the next day they were unhelpful and unwilling to work with us. They never apologized for their mistake and we will never stay here again.
