Good value compared to adjacent hotels/motels
The current Clarion seems to have only a portion of it's original services, now that the restaurant and bar no longer operate. However, the central indoor pool was still available and in use. At $30-40 less than the immediate competition, it was very adequate for a few nights stay.

Grandpa in waiting
Not good
Old and run down. Not nearly enough AC for 105 temps. No pillow cases. No lounge, as advertised. Realy a dump, but they don't care because the oil patch fills it every night anyway.

The Really Dirty...
I'm not one to sit and complain,but this place was down right gross!and out dated.One godd thing to say was everyone that worked there was over the top nice and willing to help in any way possiable. For the money a ripoff!!

We arrived on Friday afternoon June 24 about 4:30 p.m. and waited for about 30 minutes to check in because of computer problems apparently. I was given a key to the room and found a room that my wife would not stay in because of dirty conditions and even the room did not have air conditioning. The rest of the hotel was undergoing renovation with constuction, noise etc. and no air conditioning. We imediately told them we could not stay there and returned the key. We then went next door to the La Quinta motel and stayed 2 nights.[...]James D. Jackson

DUMP! MOVE ON
I really wanted to give this place NO star. This place is a first rate dump! dingy dirty stained carpet, dirty bathrooms, dirty beds, dirty everything. To top it off the lady at the front desk could not even get me into my room so i had to sleep on the couch in my colleague's room. HORRIBLE. We are moving hotels promptly and asking for a refund.

A Clean Bed and Shower
The room was a little dingy! Adequate for a sleep and quick shower and a sparse continental breakfast. The front desk staff tried to be helpful and friendly. My plastic key jammed several times and that was annoying. The carpet in my room needed cleaning big time!Only if the price is low enough,would I go back for a business trip.

The hotel room was clean and it was just as described. Everything was neat and in it's place when we got in. The room smelt like roses. Although the beds are only full size they are very comfy. We were there on a busy weekend and the hotel staff was a little short handed and for some reason the trash can in our room was missing. I was lucky to stay in a room away from the pool since it makes the inside smell like there's a pool. Too many kids in the pool for us to even try to hang out there. They have a waffle iron where you can make your own fresh waffles during the continental breakfast. I got there late so they were all out. All in all I would stay there again if I was in town.
