FANTASTIC hotel! Swimming, hot tub, etc. Doesn't get much better. We all really enjoyed our stay and the ladies at the front desk knew the very best places to dine. Thank you Holiday Inn Express! Had a one-cup at a time coffee maker - could
have used a six cup coffee maker.
We were there for one night only. My husband is a musician and he had an engagement in Mexia. The room and overall hotel was very clean and pleasant. I guess our only "complaint" was - there was no staff around. Only saw two people the entire
two days we were there. And NO 24 hour coffee available. Other Holiday Inn Express' we have stayed at had a 24 hours "coffee bar" for the guests. Overall it was a great stay. We will stay again if ever in Mexia. And I will bring my own coffee pot.
We were in town for a guided hunting trip. Unfortunately we couldn't go to the last day hunt because we wouldn't make it back to the hotel in time to get cleaned up and check out by 11am. I asked the clerk at the desk for a half hour extension.
She started looking at the computer and then said "You are not a club member....no." I'm not sure what a club member is, but I guess I know how it feels to be thought of as a lessor person.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
The dove hunting was great. We were no longer than 15 minutes from each of the guided hunts.
