Ramada - McAllen, Texas is located in the heart of the Lower Rio Grande River Valley at the Mexico border city of Reynosa. McAllen Airport MFE is just 1/2 mile from the hotel, with daily scheduled service by American Airlines, Continental Airlines and Delta Air Lines. Clean but with rustic repairs

This hotel had quick access to locations we wanted to visit. It was clean but in need of some repairs and the repairs that had been made such as moving of the bathroom door hinges was very rustic (not caulked or painted where removed). The toilet tissue holder was broken and some other minor items needed fixing. The staff was very accomodating. I have booked other similiar hotels but their repairs were "finished". The room served it's purpose for our trip.

Would not stay again

The hotel was going through an update, a pet peeve is when whi-fi does not work. It was fixed but not after I was going to check out. Parking is poor for of the units, just not user friendly.

A Little Disappointed

I stay at this hotel all the time and usually get a very friendly greeting. This time was no different. I was even offered my favorite room. Unfortunately, the room is in need of some upgrades. The television did not have good reception. The towel rack was rusted. The bathroom door had been repaired and instead of opening into the bathroom like it did before, it now opens out into the room and got in my way. The towels need to be thicker and more absorbent. The hair dryer also didn't work. I like this hotel and the staff but this time I have to say I was not impressed.

good for the price,good location

Very nice

Found this hotel at the last minute. Very nice and clean. The location was good and very convenient to the convention center. The price was amazing and I'd definitely stay again.

Another Good Stay

As always I received friendly service. The desk clerk went out of her way to change me to the room I always like to stay in. The staff know me now after staying in this hotel several times and they are all very friendly and welcoming when I arrive. When I visit McAllen I have many things I need to do so the hotel is only used to rest. It is a quiet hotel and I am able to relax after coming back late in the afternoon.

BJ,s Roadhouse has gluten free pizza and beer for all you celiacs. There are a few other restaurants in the same plaza offering gluten free items on their menus.

Great Deal

The Ramada staff has always been very friendly and helpful when ever I have stayed there. It is located close to many restaurants and shopping locations.
