Days Inn McAllen

I made a reservation for a 2 bed room, but the hotel told me it was a single room so I have to pay 18 usd, and they said it's because we use an external book office and if you don't want problems you have to use their booking system, so why did you don't told us not use this hotels?

I was not impressed with my stay. They booked me in a smoking room and was advised it would cost $10.00 per night if I wanted a nonsmoking. Since it was prepaid, I had no choice. Also, the sign on the Motel sign advertised a lower price than I paid. The room was okay, but will never stay there again.

Rooms were nice. Bathroom very clean. TV was new flatscreen model and very nice. Only thing that bothered me was an outbreak of crickets on the porches and walkways. But, that really is not the fault of the hotel. There were hundreds of them...must be mating season.

Smallest room all over the US. The room rate was 40 dlls the night and I was chargued for 60. The front desk sugested that I should phone for complaining because "they" didn't make the sale.

Horrible! I was given a key to an occupied room. I opened the room and good thing the occupants did not start shooting! Need I say more?

I arrived in Mcallen around 11pm, so I was already tired and not very sure of the area, so when I arrived at the hotel, I just wanted to rest. The second I opened the door I was stuck by a strange odor that did not go away. Looking around, there was mold in the bathroom floor and on the shower curtain. Because I did not know my way around, I stayed the night, but left at first light and found a new place to stay. Avoid this place at all costs!

The Breakfast Bar was in need of much help. The rooms were ok, but a little musty smelling.

Hotel offers rooms for $40, but Orbitz charges $70. Since room was booked through Orbitz, the hotel staff was unable or unwilling to offer me a $40 room. Thanks Orbitz! You've lost me as a customer forever!
