Residence Inn by Marriott Lubbock

We have stayed in Lubbock 3 previous times and this hotel was our least favorite. The room itself was OK, but the bathrooms were not very clean, and the bathtubs needed to be updated. The beds were not very comfortable, and the linens were old and need to be replaced. The bathroom towels were in bad shape. The extra space was nice, but the lack of good linens was a turnoff for me. I usually enjoy the complimentary breakfast, even if it is very simple. We ate the first morning, but did not eat the second. The pastries were stale and hard. The staff was very nice, but overall we will stay someplace else the next time.

Everything was fine until a group of young adults came in loud and made too much noise. This happened on two nights. We left after the first two nights.

We stayed at Residence Inn to attend a funeral. We placed a note on the clipboard next to the door to please provide more towels and some blankets from the housekeeping staff. We returned in the afternoon with no more towels than we started with and no extra blankets. My husband had to go to the front desk to request them. We also requested a crib and what we got was a pack-n-play of which my son did not sleep very well in because he was as long as the crib. We could also tell they didn't vacuum each day because there was still the same piece of lint on the floor in the same place every day we were there.

The hotel was great. There was a couple with kids above us and they were really noisy but the hotel staff addressed it with them. The bed was so comfortable and we wanted to stay longer!

Mainly just a place to sleep for graduation Saturday.

Very large and comfortable room with a regular size refrigerator, stove, microwave and sink in the kitchenette area and a fireplace in the sitting area with a sofabed. Good value hotel and friendly helpful staff from the front desk to cleaning staff.
