Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Lubbock

The room was nice. It only had one washcloth and was missing several lightbulbs. The breakfast was good, however some young people before us broke the waffle batter holder and it leaked all over the counter and floor. The floor was still messy when we left 30 min later

Other than for finding the suites the first night, service, food and comfort were better than average. I will stay again if I return to Lubbock.

The hotel was hard to find at first, since my GPS didn't recognize the address. However, after driving around a bit, I finally found it. Overall, had a pretty nice experience. The pool was fantastic, although a sprinkler wasn't working and no one cleaned the pool (dirty breakfast dishes on one table) through the Sunday we were there. The room was great and the bed was extremely comfortable. The housekeeper who took care of us was wonderful - a pleasant smile each time we saw her and a friendly greeting. Overall, we were treated quite well. The only difficulty we had was with the free continental breakfast. Food was lukewarm (if best). Waffle machine was broken one morning. Toaster wasn't working the next. I wasn't very impressed.

We stayed at this hotel and had a terrible uncomfortable stay. We did not sleep for three days. The room (200) we stayed in had a loud banging happening all night. Sounded like a washing machine out of balance. We complained and got no relief. We were told there were no other rooms available. The front desk admitted that they have had numerous complainants about this room in the past and that the engineer could not fix this problem. Why rent a room that has had complaints and has not been fixed? Secondly, the shower leaked not only onto the floor but under the tiles. It was a stream that flooded the bathroom with every shower. It was evident that this has been a problem for sometime. There was mold at the base of the floor and underneath the tiles. took 5 -6 towels to keep it from running into the room. Informed the front desk with no response of concern or help. We will never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone. Plus the hotel claims to have wireless access in all rooms. Not true. If you stay close to the lobby you have wi-fi. The was not signal in our room or anywhere else. Our keys would only work for one day. We would have to get a new key everyday. The keys would also not work in the doors to the outside. The parking lot is in the back and the keys would not work back there. You had to walk all the way around the hotel (in the dark) to go through the front door. We were told that they have had issues with the doors for the past 3 weeks. We were not told this at anytime until we asked. Ridiculous problems that were apparent to the staff but not worth fixing I guess.

The hotel room was well decorated with a really nice large bathroom, but no food was available besides the complimentary breakfast the following morning.

My son was traveling and stayed at the hotel. Loved it! Said it was awesome for the price and he would stay there anytime.

Our stay was short but nice. We stayed at the Hawthorn while visiting Texas Tech with my son. If it wasn't about some pieces of furniture that were slightly damaged in our room our stay will have been perfect. Since we stayed for only 2 nights it didn't matter too much to us. I recommend that hotel if your visit Texas Tech. It's close by.

The hotel was nice but the service wasn't so great. We stayed multiple nights and they never replaced the coffee or the any of the toilet paper rolls, soaps, etc... Overall the hotel was clean and was located fairly close to the Texas Tech campus and right on the freeway so getting around was good.

Biggest room ever, comfortable. Excellent service. Includes breakfast.

Staff was not unfriendly at check in but not welcoming either. Breakfast was served but not until about 8 am. Difficult to regulate room temp. Noisy a/c unit.
