Great area
The area where this was located is next to the Texas Tecnical College and there was a lot of sights that we were able to walk to. The hotel accomodated us with directions when we needed to get somewhere and needed the directions. They left the room alone when we did not want housekeeping to come in and the wak up calls were on time.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
They have quite a few western stores like Jestin boots and Dollar Western Wear that are great to purchase any western wear you are looking for. they also have a Ross store where you can purchase nice clothes and pay less for them.

In town for work
The hotel is ok but the rooms were pretty dark, and even though I was in non-smoking you could smell the cigarets from other rooms.

Pleasant Stay
Staff was friendly and helpful. Swimming Pool was great. Appreciated free breakfast and free USA Today Newspaper. Great Location. We visited the Texas Tech Museum, the Buddy Holly Museum, and Silent Wings Museum. We enjoyed the great Antique locations on Q street and down 34th street.

NOT a 3 star hotel
Very close to Texas Tech but that's the best part. Our room stunk especially for a non-smoking room. The hotel is practically on the feeder road so it was very noisy all night. I could never get the wifi to work on my Windows PC but it worked for my son's Mac. The vent in the bathroom didn't work.

Avoid this place
While searching in the Lubbuck area for a rental near for my new employment I was shocked to discover this location is affliated with a major chain. The dark non working lights in the super heated elevator, carpet so dirty it stained socks, and missing tiles in the ceiling made this the worst location of our three week trip. We moved to another location. The staff told us the pool is closed because the guest use it.

"Great value and location"
Very helpful employees, our flight to lubbock was delayed so we could not get to hotel till after 2a.m.. Even though it was Texas Tech Graduation week and there were no other rooms available anywhere in Lubbock, they held my reservation, when they could easily have given it to someone else.

Clean, but old.
Because this was an quick overnight for graduation, I didn't want to spend a lot. I have stayed in other Days Inn's, so I thought this would be comparable...but no. This is an older hotel with thin walls on a busy highway; bring ear plugs. The room was clean, but the overwhelming soap smell nearly made me sick. It was as though they had painted with bar soap. I had to sleep with my shirt over my head because of the smell.
