Weere there just overnight, but it is a wonderful location to the Riverwalk and restaurants

Non-Smoking not guaranteed, not good
We booked a non-smoking room and they gave us a smoking room. We asked for a change and they said none were available. I asked to get switched or a refund and they said only the manager could do it and he wouldn't be until the next day around noon. Customer Service was nice, but the hotel policies need work. Not recommended for those who want non-smoking, as it is not guaranteed.

Good for the money!
Friendly and good service. I enjoyed the breakfast and the use of the "work out" room.However, the treadmill (there's just one) was prone to slipping and felt funny if you're going to do more than "walk" on it. (I ran for 30 minutes on it and frequently had to regain my footing.)The breakfast was standard fare - but there was little room in the dining area: no more than 8 to 10 families could fit in there at a time. The TV was hard to figure out and I didn't like the fact that it immediately went to the sleazy [*] services. I guess if you like that sort of thing (please do a heart-check!), you'll find what you want ... but it's embarrassing to dads with their families, demeaning to women and a poor message to our daughters. But the location was great for shopping and base to where we needed to go! The operators did a good job keeping the place up!

The hotel's easy wifi was great help. Make a list of places you want to shop at, cinemas you plan on going to and getting them on your Droid, iPhone/iPod Touch (snapping screen shots) or other device so you can access it later.

Upon check-in we were given our 2 rooms. We had asked for non-smoking but she said there were non left. We went to the rooms and they smelled very smokey. We went back and asked if we could possibly take a non smoking room with someone that hadn't checked in yet. She said only the manager could do that and there was nothing she could do. The manager wouldn't be in until Monday.

just ok
The hotel had an unusual smell and the carpet needs to be replaced in the hallways. The rooms were ok but not great. The side door to the parking lot is difficult to unlock. We did not feel safe here and it is noisy both inside and outside.

My review of Best Western Lubbock Windsor Inn
The bed was comfortable. Other than that it was nothing to talk about. I did not like the location, it seemed to be in an area that was in the poorer part of town. The worst part was the morning breakfast. The gravy for the biscuits and sausage was water with some mix in it. The tables were dirty. I don't mind getting my own breakfast but you shouldn't use a hot breakfast that is not edible as part of your sales scheme.
