Red Roof Inn Laredo

The internet didnt work at all but the room is pretty comfy and lovely. Ideal for families. A few food places close from there.

My family and I, visited Laredo for shopping, we had a very good time.

I go into the elevator and the smell almost knocked me out. The carpet in the elevator made it smell musty or like someone got sick. In my room the toilet ran all the time. The staff was friendly and polite. The lobby and outside were clean. Sorry, I won't go back as that smell in the elevator didn't just happen as the carpet looked awful. I travel quite a bit and know about housekeeping and cleaning and don't settle for excuses. There are other places striving to get my business and lookingto give me a pleasant experience.

After our long drive to arrive at this hotel my cousins and I were so happy to finally get to the Red Roof Inn:) However after walking in, we realized that it looks nothing like the pictures! Maybe 5-8 Years ago, the floors and walls looked dirty, parts of the hotel smelled like urine! The employees were fair, but the manager was a [*]! After we checked out our rooms we were so disappointed with the hard beds, old tv, no wireless, moist comforters, dingy smell we walked right back downstairs to ask for an upgrade. We will pay extra, we told her! Plus my cousin has been in two car accidents and her spine is fragile, she needs a softer bed. The manager gave us attitude! "ummm yea, we don't have anything for you in a double" (eyes rolling, eye brows raised) we explained again that on the website we saw flat screens and plush beds. she responded with, that's probably another Red Roof Inn. We later saw a sign outside their building advertising free wifi for King bedrooms, which is probably the updated version. but she didn't even give us that option. how are we suppose to know the type of rooms with different bed types? if she would of AT LEAST explained to us that they we're to capacity that night and she was unable to do anything else, we would of been understanding. but instead we walked away feeling she was UNWILLING to upgrade her customers. A discount, a credit, extra blankets or pillows. She didn't offer anything else to make our stay better...I'm not sure who's to blame for the advertising, but our stay was awful:(

I went on this trip for the Thanksgiving holiday with my two toddlers and husband, I was dissapointed to find that there was no iron or ironing board and no blowdriers in the room. I contacted the attendant at the front desk he assured me he would find us one as soon as it became available, but none was ever available during our stay nor we notified that this was the case. The bed spreads were very dated and even had burn marks, I was also unsure if the sheets had been changed since the bedspreads were arranged differently one was folded all to the end the other was only placed halfway, the difference was obvious. The bathrooms were very small and there were not enough towels eventhough it was a double room. The inside additional lock was broken when we checked in and the front desk attendant immediately sent a maintenance worker to repair it, that was about the only nice thing if any. I was very dissappointed and I will never stay in a place like that again
