La Posada Hotel

I booked this hotel because it had high ratings on and I was not disappointed! The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I upgraded the reservation to the one bedroom suite at a rate of $129 that came out to be $140 after taxes and a 5% online promo code discount. The hotel rate was more than most in the area but it was worth it. I had a couple of drinks at the bar and breakfast in the hotel´s dining area the following morning and everything was perfect. The staff was more than helpful in all aspects. My pickup truck was loaded down with tons of stuff and the bell hop was very helpful unloading and loading my gear the following morning for a trip to Mexico City. I parked my truck in the hotel´s secured parking garage and I only unloaded the most valuable items from my truck and left the rest in the back and it was all there the following morning. What more can I say!!!

Great Hotel with great service, staff is friendly and polite. Very accommodating to business traveler. A must try is the Tack Room, food is outstanding!

Wow! LaPosada Hotel...Clean; smell, pool, hotel landscape, and the restaruant. The staff was extremely knowledgible regarding Mexico, City of Laredo, and had information on things to see and do. Security was always present 24/7, being this close to the border, we slept well. The vallet had our vehicle pulled up front (with the AC on), and escorted us to our car. I noticed all of the guests were treated with the same kind service, really classy. The staff was always opening doors, asking if your stay is comfortable, plenty of towels at the pool, fully stocked bar inside the pool, USA Newspaper left at every door every morning. The LaPosada staff is working to win its customer back. Recently, I did not get the room location that I had reserved, they wanted to upgrade me to a suite. Really nice staff.

We try to visit our neighbors in Mexico three to four times a year. This does require a first class facility. With the three restaurants, inclusuve of bars, multiple pools required for spring through fall days, business ammenities, location, I will continue the quarterly get aways with my lady.

La Posada is the heart of Laredo. Wonderfully remodeled older hotel is right on the river. This is where one should stay to appreciate the heart and soul of Laredo and its Mexico roots. There are nice new hotels on the growing perimeter of town but there is no sense of where one is. La Posada has 2 nice pools with beautiful landscaped grounds that buffer the hustle and bustle of the outside. The Cafe and Tackroom are both outstanding. Please support the hotels that are part of the town they reside in!

The La Posada Hotel is a very confortable and pleasant home away from home. Our stay was one of the best anywhere.

The La Posada was a beautiful hotel, but the real draw was the staff. We have stayed in hotels all over the world but we can honestly say they have the friendliest, most helpful staff that we have ever experienced. The doorman, who is also a local traffic enforcement officer, made sure that we enjoyed evry meal, spoke with the taxi driver and arranged for him to pick us up from a restaurant and take us to a local club for some dancing, then return us to the hotel. The suite we stayed in was amazing, with 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, flat-screen televisions in both the sitting area and bedroom. All the small touches were there; brand-name coffees and teas, nice shampoos, shaving gels, etc. The black granite, heavy, high-end wood furniture and black iron really lent itself to the Southwester/Mexican feel of the area. All of this at an incredible price. We are already planning a trip back to the La Posada for a longer stay.
