Wingate by Wyndham DFW / North Irving

I was very pleased with my overall experience at Wingate. I had stayed at one previously and knew I would most likely be happy with my stay. The only negative experience I had was at check in. I had called earlier in the week to request an early check in because we were driving 5.5 hours and wanted to check in before going to the speedway. I was assured by whoever I talked to that it would not be an issue, and was told that there would be a note made on my reservation to that effect. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the hotel around 12:15 p.m., I received opposition from the front desk clerk about checking in before 1:30 p.m. I did have to be argumentative and insistent with her before she finally allowed us to check in.

The housekeeping department was sometimes loud and boisterous in the earlier morning hours. They didn't put clean towels out everyday. The area were the washer-dryer was had no light. The top of the washer agitator was held in by a wood screw. There was mold above the ice machine. The desk in the room had a broken leg and the drawer was missing. The closet door didn't stay closed. The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work. When the bathroom floor was wet with moisture, when the shower was running, it was very slippery. So we had to waste a towel every day so we wouldn't get hurt. You think they would have caught that in the design phase. (Slippery floor tiles) Mirror molding in room was coming off of the bottom of mirror. The furniture seemed like pressed cardboard. (very cheap). The rug in the room was stained. One of the room keys never worked. And the night before we left, there were guests running up and down the hallways, being loud, knocking on doors until 11:30 at night. In all fairness, we didn't complain until checkout. But the complimentary breakfast was pretty good.

The first day when i arrived at the hotel they didnt have rooms available, so i was sent to another hotel with low quality.

The staff did an excellent job from entry to exit. Keep up the great work.

I really enjoyed my staty. I didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked very nice.

The hotel was not worth the price paid. Things were outdated and uncomfortable. The spa was not warm and the bathroom was dirty.

The place was clean, nicely appointed, the staff was friendly. Free wine & beer in the evening and a nice continental breakfast. The room had a nice big LG flat panel LCD but their analog CATV has no HD, bad signal and poor channel lineup. At least I was able to stream HD Netflix via HDMI from my phone.

Stayed for 4 nights, the only complaint I have is that the beds were not real comfortable and the pillows were awful. The rooms were large, the staff was superb and the breakfast was more than adequate. The airport shuttle was another added benefit. The price was another plus. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, hopefully on a more comfortable bed.

It was our first stay here. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast had a great selection. I went with family members for a graduation and we rented 3 rooms. All of us were very pleased by the staff who were very helpful. The only problem in 2 of our rooms was that the keys would deactivate but we took them to the front desk and the staff were prompt in reactivating them. We would definitely stay there again. 2 years ago we stayed at another motel close by for another graduation but I think the next time we will make sure to stay here at the Wingate/Wyndham.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location was very convenient for my trip since my training was across the street at another hotel.. Would stay again..
