Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas

Since they refurbished the Dallas Omni a few years ago, this has been a very enjoyable hotel for me to stay when I'm in Dallas. Our contractor's contractors office just a block away which makes getting form this hotel very convenient. The staff is always courteous and attentive and strives to meet your every need. Entering the lobby you're greeted by a lobby area that always has nice arrangements of fragrant cut flowers. For a 20+ year old hotel with a recent facelift to both the common public areas and the rooms, it's made for a very pleasant stay. The lower rate vs other local hotels is also a deciding factor in staying at Omni Mandalay. With it being just a block further away than the local Marriott, it’s not a problem with getting to the office if I choose to walk there vs driving. Only complaint, I wish they had an indoor pool and hot tub! They keep both open year round, but that mad dash from the hot tub to the exercise room can be a bit chilly on some winter days!

The hotel is very nice and looks great.. Provides complimentary rides within a 5 mins radius and clean room. Beyond the that, it doesn't provide much extras for the price. You need to sign up for a members club to get free internet.. There isn't much in the area, very boring. But, its a business district.

It is good hotel especially for select guests. Housekeeping staff is bit average but overall it is great hotel

Great place to stay in order to visit the corporate offices at Las Colinas. Very clean, extremely comfortable and friendly staff.

we were booked in a handicap room which wasnt a problem until we ran the sink to long and black stuff started coming up out the floor drains. no tub so the entire floor in the bathroom was the shower floor. it made a mess and had a bad smell

This Hotel brand has never disappointed me, and being a Black Level Select Guest Member has unbelievable benefits.

The entire experience was top-notch from start to finish. The room and the staff completely exceeded all expectations.

Family Reunion,also traveled to Galveston,had some trouble with Avis rental,service was bad at first but was resolved,didn't have the car I wanted. The hotel was excellent and a great deal,would do it again.

I researched a ton of hotels for my 6th anniversary weekend & thought the Omni looked to be the best choice. The price was good, it's a serene location, even though it's in the midst of DFW area. [...] Parking is free since they have a large parking garage, unless you choose valet. Garage does require you to maneuver steps, I never found an elevator. I was impressed with the lobby. It is grand, well decorated and lovely. I was surprised after checking in; our stay had already been charged but the hotel charges an addtl $50/night charge since I used a debit card. This was refunded 3 days after we ckd out. I loved the smell that filled most of the hotel, subtle fruit; except near the gym which stunk of mildew. We got a great free view of canal & horse statues from our room on the 2nd to top floor. The room had plenty of space but some was wasted, unless you're going to do yoga or play twister in the middle of the room. It would've been better if they had a sofa in this space instead of 2 club chairs further away. One wall was windows with light reducing curtains. They were disgusting so the view was a lil impaired; there was a greasy, dirty film & fingerprints all over. There was a little layer of dust on things. I'm always amazed @ the cost of a minibar!! The bathroom had old, chipped carrera marble & wallpaper with a few small rips. The whole room appeared to need a bit of freshening up incl the bathroom & a lrg stain on carpet. The grounds are lovely & relaxing but it's a long hike to the gym or pool!! Not all the services listed for the spa are available. I loved the gondola ride (book seperately), the Japanese place next door & Italian place across from the spa. We had a great weekend but not d/t the hotel & we'd prob not stay here again.

We were staying in the area for a week and wanted more than just a "sleeping room". We were offered an upgraded room, for a very reasonable price, at check in and loved it! The hotel was beautiful and the staff exceptional!
