Snuggled among Irving's rolling hills and mesquite trees, the Four Seasons Hotel Dallas is the only hotel in Texas that's earned enviable AAA Five Diamond resort and club status. The five-star golf resort is a haven for golfers, leisure travelers and businesspeople alike. The award-winning TPC Las Colinas par-70 golf course hosts the annual PGA Tour's HP Byron Nelson Championship. Hone your technique, put in some practice at the driving range, or enjoy some expert golf tuition with private lessons at the Four Seasons Golf School, which is popular with corporate groups.

The Four Seasons is housed midway between the Downtown throngs of Dallas, and the traditional Texan authenticity of Fort Worth. Downtown Dallas is just 13 miles away, while those seeking retail therapy can treat themselves at The Galleria, which features a host of designer stores and restaurants. Tie on your ice skates and feel the temperatures drop as you glide across the mall rink. Aviation enthusiasts can visit vintage aircraft and exhibits relating to the history of flight at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum, on Claire Chenault Road.
Hints and tips
East-facing rooms and villas offer afternoon shade and enviable views of the distant Dallas skyline. The villas on the golf green are a considerable walk from the main buildings, but there is a frequent complimentary golf cart shuttle service.

Family trip to Four Seasons

We were extremely pleased with the experience--which was pay for two nights, get one free. The room, the service, the food--all were excellent. They made a mistake on a spa treatment for my wife and made up for it by giving us a free product from the spa and a free treatment on the next visit we make there. We have three toddlers and they could not have been more accommodating with the children. We would recommend the hotel most highly.
