Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites HOUSTON INTERCONTINENTAL EAST

When I arrived at George Bush airport I called the Hotel and was informed that I was being transfered to a Sleep Inn 10 minutes away. I told the desk clerk that I had onother member of my group there. That didn't matter.I ended up staying there but it was a terrible experience to change their mind. I feel that the hotel tried to change my location because I booked with a discount agency.

This location has been well maintained and kept clean. The staff was warm and friendly.

The hotel is convenient because its close to the airport. The lobby looks like it was recently renovated. I stayed on a second floor non-smoking room. The hallway smelled like smoke. My room was nice in size although it look run down and needed some renovating.

It took an unusually long amount of time to check in. There was only 1 gentleman working the desk on a Saturday evening. He was helping a gentleman and answering the phone at the same time. We waited for approximately 25 minutes to check in and there was a line of people waiting behind us. The breakfast was good with many options and the room was clean. My only complaint was that check in took too long.

Layover in Houston. Prompt shuttle and check-in. Room was clean and well equipped.

Ideal place to stay next to the airport. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. They also offer transportation to the airport.

My husband and I took our 4-year old daughter and 10-month old twins to their sister's wedding in Humble, Texas. We wanted something close to the airport (George Bush), and had stayed previously at Holiday Inn Expresses, so we chose this hotel. It was at a perfect location for everything we needed, without having to get into the heart of Houston. The staff at the hotel were very polite, down-to-earth, and friendly. During our 6-day stay, there were numerous times I had to make extra key cards, forgot laundry in the dryer (which one of the maids kindly took out and put at the front desk), or needed more towels, and the staff was always gracious. The rooms/suites were very large with a nice sitting area at the front. The bathroom was also huge. We used the exercise room, outdoor swimming pool (which was graduated so my 4-year old could stand at the one end!), and ate the wonderful continental breakfast. The breakfast had a pancake machine that would pop out as many pancakes as you'd like, sausage, biscuits and gravy, omelets, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, waffles for toasting, 3 kinds of muffins, yummy cinnamon rolls, bread, juices, coffee, and I'm sure there are many things I'm missing.

Hotel is dated. Service was quite good, but one of the two of us had to stay at neighboring hotel as air conditioning wasn't working and there weren't any extra rooms. I would spend more money/night and stay at a better place.

It was ok not at all what what I was expecting after staying in another Holiday Inn it was a disappoint to me.
