Nice Family retreat

The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. Staff was accomadating. The area was beautiful and within walking distance of a few shops. Having the pool area in the same area as the parking garage does take away from privacy so if you're shy about swimming in few of others to or from the parking garage you'll need to get over that fast.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

If you'd like to go to the mall, it's just a few minutes from the hotel. Also, there are a few nice resturants (i.e. Thai & other dining places) near the movie theatre which is only minutes away.

good location near Galleria

I had a need to use the hotel's shuttle service. I was displeased with the way the hotel ran this. There was a communication gap between the front desk staff and the bell hop service that ran the shuttle resulting in poor service.

Clean and Comfortable

Nice hotel with a friendly staff. Room was clean and had good amenities. Traffic is awful in the Galleria area and getting into this hotel is daunting if you are exiting the 610 loop. Plan ahead. Also if you like good pizza, I don't recommend room service. Although I know everybody has their own opionion on pizza

Not Bad at All

Every single contact I had with hotel personnel showed them to be polite, cooperative and helpful. Rooms are excellent, but stay away from rooms near the elevator that face the highway. The roar of the hall ventilator combined with the traffic is constant. The front desk quickly moved me to a nice, quiet room. TV channel selection could be better (no movie channels like HBO, etc.) Suite is plenty large for the cost and bed was very comfortable. Oh, no Coke, only Pepsi to be had in the hotel. Diet Coke folks like me have to hit the CVS before check in.

Shopper's paradise!

Great location for shoping with all the stores under one roof. Plus a lot of eating places (fast foods) in the store areas at the Galleria and a few resourants. Bed was really comfortable and the rooms were big enough.

The hotel is close to Memorial Park. I would highlight directions on how to get there and events taking place in the park. Visitors need to know that automobile traffic is heavy.

Nice hotel. But the incidentals...

This was a pleasure trip to meet with friends and enjoy some shopping. The location was good, near some of my favorite restaurants and also near the Galleria. Parking was $12/night ($19 for valet). Restaurant breakfast buffet and night meals were a bit pricey. But the steak was very good. The chairs in the restaurant were not confortable at all, making one sit on the front edge of the seat in order to be able to get to the food. The exercise room was very good, but you had to go outside to get to it. (It was a bit chilly) Overall, I would stay here again if it weren't for the slow broadband. As an on-line gamer, it just wasn't good enough. Most hotels have better. Between the parking and the cost of meals, I ran up almost $150 in incidentals over the 4 days I was there.
