Rooms

Room wasn't ready at the check in time. Room was clean and but the rooms on both sides of mine had construction going on. Not something you want to wake up to at 7a.m. Other than that it was fine.

It was ok

Room was clean, but no fridge, microwave, hair dryer or coffee pot. That was the disadvantages.

Hard To Find, But Worth It Once You Do!

Although this Inn is right off Texas State Highway Six and the I-10 West Service Road, there is no direct access from the Service Road. Google Map Instructions were inaccurate. Once there, the Staff was couteous, the room was clean with a clean fragrance, and the TV had free HBO 1 & 2 with the regular Cable Channels. I woke up at 3am, and the Desk Staff member made fresh coffee just for my early departure trip. This is a No Frills Motel, but the Nightly Pricing structure and location in Katy made it a good Econo-Stay Experience! I'd stay again.

Weekend Visit

As usual location was important to me and this was perfect.....for price not a bad deal, although rooms were not available at check-in time and keys were issued although room was still being cleaned and had to wait additional time.

Short Trip to Houston

Needed to stay cheap for only a day, so chose their cheapest rate. Red Roof is good overall, but not for their lowest priced rooms. Room was supposed to be Non-Smoking but definitely was not. Floor was dirty, needing a vacuum. Room location good on bottom floor, but these rooms are high usage and alot of wear and tear. I have stayed here in upgraded business room and it is worth the small price increase. I would stay away from cheapest rooms.

Best Hamburger,Chicken Sandwich in Town - Beck's Prime on Dairy Ashford. Premium price but worth it. From hotel, go to next turnaround on feeder and go east past Hwy 6, Eldridge and turn south on Dairy Ashford, Beck's is on the left, and open late.

Business/Pleasure trip

I upgraded to a business room with amenities - $6/day more and worth it. The lower priced rooms are not in as good a shape as the upgraded rooms. Location is good for Houston's energy corridor mostly because of low traffic in/out. But exit off feeder road can be tricky. For the price; a good value.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Don't go down Barker Cypress for dining; too long a drive. Go north on Hwy 6 to Hwy 290 turn west on feeder for best BBQ in town, Good Company. It's a long drive but worth it.
