Very Accomodating
The hotel was a good value. Staff was helpful in setting us up with a nice room. Pool is small. Breakfast is ok, hot but bland. AC was a little loud. The location is really convenient for accessing anything in the medical center part of town.

Good except
Good experience but when leaving I left my wife at the door with her walker and I went to fetch the car. When I pull up to the door to help my disabled wife the hotel van driver pull up behind and told me I could not park there and to move the car. I did not move the car until i had my wife loaded. This really ticked me off and almost ruined our stay. How rude of him.

good
the location is good, it's near UH and they have free shuttles to hobby airport and medical center. the free breakfast is a plus. The kitchen is small but it has everything you need.

Overnight stay
The hotel inside is much better than the surroundings. Staff was pleasant, free breakfast was solid.

Great Hotel!
If you are going to MD Anderson, this is a GREAT place to stay. Nice, helpful people. Very clean. Close to hospital. Shuttle service is great. Great deal for the money!

Very good choice!
We stayed at this hotel when we were in town for a funeral. Very conveniently located, close to 610 where all the restaurants are...very friendly, clean, comfortable. Could not have asked for any better. If you are looking for luxurious surroundings, then this isn't the place for you, but if you want a comfortable, homey feel, this is a great place!

A Necessary trip to visit a relative who had been injured in an accident.
The hotel was clean, well maintained, very good breakfast, etc. This hotel is on the edge of a not so nice neighborhood... other than that it was great... LOVED the shuttle to get back and forth to the hosp. which saved us from traffic headaches and from parking fees!!

Mainstay Suites Near Reliant Park Houston
The staff were great, very helpful. Had no trouble with anything. The only down side was the sofa bed. THAT had the springs showing and feeling through when it was used. My daughter had to put several blankets on it to make it comfortable. BUT everything else in the room, the kitchenette, the bathroom, and the rest of the facilities were very good ESPECIALLY for the price we paid.

Modest hotel
My two grown children and myself were in Houston for the University's graduation ceremonies. Our stay was okay, but we had a problem with the hotel shuttle. I was told to call the hotel upon our arrival, no window of time was ever mentioned. So when we arrived we are told the shuttle was not working anymore. My son, who arrived seperately, also could not find a shuttle late at night, so he had to pay $60.00 for a cab. I probably would not stay here again.

Short drive from hotel
Mexican Seafood Restaurant. Don't remember the name, but you get to choose your own type of fish from the fish market which is in back of the restaurant and then you get choose how you want them to cook it, deep fried, steamed or broiled. It was great, tasty and healthy.
