One night OK
Excellent location, friendly staff, needs renovating, small amount of mold on bath ceiling, excellent bed. Good price for location.

Nice staff; poor lodgings
While the staff at the hotel were both friendly and helpful, there were several aspects of my stay that were not up to par. One morning, the hot water was out for an entire building because someone forgot to flip a lever. The room was poorly cleaned. There were chunks of dust and dirt on the bathroom floor, large quantities of mildew on the shower curtains that made the room smell, and cup rings on the tables. I felt like I should wear shoes inside to keep from getting gross. Either no vacuuming was done, or the vacuum was not working properly. Overall, I would not stay there again.

could see daylight underneath the entry door--- towels were old -- tub had rust and mold---- furniture was cheesy and cheap---- carpet old needs replacing--- pillows flat and dead, dirty free breakfast was a joke-- cheap cerea, watered down juice etc.....

Our room was clean and large for a hotel of this type. Mr. Robert the night time receptionist was very nice and was well organized. Breakfast was standard waffles, cereal, muffin, etc. free internet service. Overall was pleasantly surprised.

Don't leave during rush hour. Houston traffic is really thick and highways are a little confusing if you are not from the area.

I was only there long enough to get a night's sleep. I picked it mainly for location. Staff was friendly, it was clean and there was an adequat breakfast.

OK if you are not too demanding
Facilities a little run-down. Rooms are ordinary without anything extra; just four walls, a couple of beds and a little desk. Bathroom somewhat ratty but clean enough. Clean but bare bones. If you need a place to crash at night while you go about your business the whole day, it's OK. That's what we did, left early in the morning and came back late at night. There is a Denny's across the parking lot and a very sorry and lonely all-day-breakfast joint in front which was so desolate in the morning we took a look and decided to leave immediately. A sign for Steak and Brew looms high over the motel but that establishment is long gone. Location is pretty good, right on Katy Freeway and close to everything, which is why we chose it.The hotel personnel are friendly enough but the place is desperately in need of a face-lift. Again, stay here if you just need a place to sleep. Don't even think about using this place as a vacation motel unless you have very, very low standards.

Try Phoenicia Deli. A delightful mix of Lebanese/Middle Eastern food. Not expensive and very good. Visit the huge grocery store of the same name and you'll find all sorts of Mediterranean goodies.
