La Quinta Inn & Suites Houston West Park 10

Staff were on top of all our needs with having a small child. Room was very clean. Quiet during the night so we did not have to put up with closing doors all evening. Nice courtyard and pool. Only downfall is the bed was a little hard in my opinion. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.

This would have been a totally acceptable stay except for one thing. We were in a nonsmoking room and the pillows had a residual smoke smell in them. I didn't notice it so much, but my wife has a sensitive nose and it really disrupted her sleep. If she had registered it earlier, I am sure they would have replaced the pillows. So, that part was on us.

Front desk staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean. We were in the center of the building. It was hot in halls walking to and from elevator. A nice variety of food for breakfast. Liked having a closed gate to the parking lot at night.

The front desk staff when I checked in was very nice. She also called to my room to check if everything is ok. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was ok, nothing's fancy -- cereal, muffins, waffles, boiled eggs. I went to the Downtown in the morning on Friday, it took me longer than I expected because of the traffic on highway. Not too far from Chinatown. Very Yummy foods here.

Staff was very helpful and polite. Hotel needs repairs. I saw MANY things that were simple fixes. Was little concerned that even w/ my door shut you could see through a crack between door and doorframe into room. Toilet paper holder was very loose, electrical outlet plate wasn't flush against wall and showed big gap. To me it was a pride thing- simple things that could be fixed. Bathtub drain closes during shower and can't be opened except by hand. I had almost a foot of water in tub before I finished. There were others but too many to list. On the bright side: we ordered take out and forgot eating utensils. I called the desk and they said they would give us some. Hotel offers a shuttle to nearby locations. Without a car it would have been expensive to call taxi but the shuttle took me and picked me up when I wanted them too. Very helpful. Nice sized desk and desk chair. Very comfortable.

Very adequate rooms with nice amenities. Quiet & location near our destination. Staff was pleasant & accommodating!

This hotel is very old and outdated. The room was clean however the fridge did not work and hasn't worked for sometime. The bed/mattress also showed signs of major use and the so call recliner chair also showed major signs of ware. I was very disappointed and will not stay at this La Quinta hotel again.

Our stay at the LaQuinta in Houston was a wonderful experience. The front desk help was very friendly and accomodating. They even offered to begin their comlimentary breakfast service early to accomodate our schedule! The hot tub, located in the tropical pool area setting, was a wonderful treat at the end of our day. I would definately stay here again.

Overall great experience. Location was outstanding with access from Katy Freeway and from back road on Grisby. Breakfast and coffee in the morning was great and extensive with cereals, muffins, toast, bagels, juices, milk, coffee, tea and waffles. Only issue was that they missed cleaning our room one day for some reason. By the time we returned and discovered the problem, the cleaning staff had left, but one of the other staff brought clean towels, picked up the trash, and got us more shower supplies.

I was suprised that the hotel room did not offer a microwave or fridge but other than that the pool and the room were both nice. The location is ok, it it right off the highway but there's always a LOT of construction going on in Houston so it caused a few problems getting in and out. But overall, it was a good hotel.
