Great business location

Staff were great. The only issue I have with this hotel is that many of the rooms only have windows onto a central atrium where the bar is, so there's not a huge amount of natural light coming into the room. In addition to this, noise from the bar comes up through the window until the bar shuts at 11pm, and noise from the reception area also came up early in the morning if people were waiting down there and talking and laughing. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

A cab to Galleria for shopping ended up costing closer to $20, than the $7 or $8 I was quoted... :-(

A fantastic choice

we needed to find a hotel just for overnight but did not have reservations. We chose Inn at the Ballpark because of the previous ratings and the cost. Since we just needed rooms overnight we did not expect too much because it is not a chain hotel but we were pleasantly surprised at the warmth, decor, service and location. The hotel was nice and suited our needs beyond our expectations.

Nice, convienent, but pricey

Overall, a very nice stay. The rooms are pretty small and the noise from the bar/lounge area below can get loud after an Astros game. You are paying a high price for being so close to Minute Maid Park, but it is real easy to manuver when you bring kids along, so it is worth it.

Fantastic Hotel

I only stayed one night, quick trip, but everything was phenominal. The entire hotel was emmaculate, beds were amazing and even pillows were comfortable which is usually my biggest complaint. LARGE windows looking towards downtown. Great bathrooms and tub/shower as well! Definitely looking to stay here again for future trips to our Downtown Houston location.

Book it now!

Overall, I loved the hotel. Great rooms, great location, great staff, free internet, even the food was good. I don't think you can go wrong here. I got a combo hotel/car [...] and was extremely pleased...great value. Highy recommended! My only complaint was the incredibly high rate for Valet Parking ($22.00 plus tax). [Valet is the only parking available]Since I had meetings away from the hotel, I simply parked literally right in front of the hotel overnight for free until 7AM. Since I was usually gone for the day by 10AM, I dropped 3 bucks into the meter ($1.00/hour, up to 6PM) (6PM to 7AM, free) to prevent getting a ticket. I probably spent $11 for parking versus the $50 that I would have spend on valet parking.
