When you first walk in, be sure to step back and take in the beautiful atrium at the Hyatt Regency Houston, which stretches 30 stories up. This is a great spot to sit back and quench your thirst with a quick drink inside the LobbiBar, before making your way to your room. Accommodations range from the Standard to Business Plan-designed with features for a productive stay away from the office-plus the top floor suite, where guests can absorb themselves in city views, listen to their vacation tracks on the iPod home stereo system, and have a soak in the deluxe marble bath. The heated outdoor pool deck has seats for sunbathing, and the restaurants offer selections for the discerning palate, from juicy steaks to Spindletop's Signature Paella. Luxury tops the agenda at this AAA four diamond hotel in Houston.

Not good for a week-end in Houston; unless you are going to the stadium. Regular service at front desk.

You would think for how much the room cost you would get free wifi. The water in the room cost 3.50 a bottle. My tub was broke. The staff was super nice.

Clean and Comfortable

It was clean and comfortable but the TV won't let you change channels properly and the hotel food wasn't great...edible but I should have just ordered a pizza rather than try to order shrimp tacos (which the hotel recommended). Also, there was a convention happening so it was really, really loud, even though I was on the 10th floor, I could hear people down in the bar. I was also irked that parking was $30 and the internet was like $10 or $15 a day - much over priced for both.

Friendly staff

Easy check-out, nice check-in, room was clean, but you could hear outside noise. No free internet for non-business travelers (come on people!). My daughter thought the Fitness Center was just ok. I don't think we'd stay here again because there just didn't seem to be anything that set this place apart.

Room amenities

I loved everything during my stay but what's up with not having a microwave, refrigerator, or free wi-fi? I think those 3 things would have really made this stay magical! The staff was great, professional, and extremely nice/personable.

Great honeymoon weekend.

From the valet service when we arrived to check in & out at the front desk and the valet service was very courteous and helpful as we left. Dinner at the Spindle Top Restaurant was very good as was the service.

Downtown delight!

The location provided easy access to freeways (if driving) as well as to public transportation. We rode the rail system to the Museum District and found it to be excellent! The hotel also offers a very nice shuttle service for short excursions. We also roamed around downtown and were pleasantly surprised by a representative of Houston who stopped us and gave us directions and a map of the streets/buildings/tunnels. The hotel was family friendly and the staff was very helpful! Would recommend this facility for anyone visiting the Houston area.
