perfectly quiet
I went away just to have some peace & quiet. I had just what I wanted. There was no loud music, kids, or anything else to disturb me. The only thing that I think needs to change is the TV stations. There are not enough stations to watch.

Good business travel hotel
Nice place, about a year old. Everything in good condition. Manager very helpful and super friendly. Would definitely stay here again if on business in Houston.

Very covenient
Very clean, I had to spend the night in Houston to take connecting flight to Asia the next morning. For the money, excellent. Clean and does have all you need

It's ok. Good value
It's located close to the airport, about 5-6 miles away. By Houston standards, that's like inside the airport. There's not much around the hotel except a small convenience store and a gas station. Every nearby food joint was closed by the time I reached at 9 pm. Fairly safe (it seems), but for the fact that it feels like in the middle of nowhere. It has two floors, like a typical econolodge or day's inn setting, and a small parking lot. Ground floor has smoking rooms and upper floor has non-smoking. Amenities are alright, staff decent. Nothing to write home about. Couple of minor complaints like not having an airport shuttle operating between 12 am and 5 am. If you have an early morning flight, you are forced to keep your rental car or call a cab a day earlier.

There is a Chilis on Sam Houston Parkway at the crossing of Wilson Road that is open after 10 pm. And it's good, and can be crowded.

Hojo Houston IAH
Newer hotel. Make sure to call when you land so they can send out the shuttle to get you. Room was clean with a microwave and a mini fridge. Breakfast was your normal hotel breakfast. Not in the greatest part of town, lots of welding shops, gas stations, etc... Close to Houston Parkway and the airport. Rent a car if you're staying here, not a whole lot of taxis or public transit in the area.

The hotel room is very clean, the bed is extremely comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. I would like to stay here again once I have another chance to get back in Houston. Thank you Howard Johnson for making me feel at home in Houston, TX.

Unenthusiastic Traveler
Convenient place to stay near IAH
The staff were very accommodating and helpful, letting us into the room before check-in time and giving us free toiletries that my wife had forgotten. Room was spacious and pleasant, with comfortable beds and a full-size ironing board and iron in the room. The location was very convenient, just a couple miles off JFK (main road into airport) and easy access.

Good hotel near the airport
i needed to stay overnight to catch a flight early in the morning. The attention was great, the hotel shutle picked me up at the airport shortly after my call and took me back for the flight at 5:00 am sharp. The room was clean and it had wi-fi. The hotel is a 10 minutes drive from the airport, has a couple of convenient stores at a walking distance and the price is right; very good overall value. Thanks to the night shift manager for his kind attention
