Hotel Marquis Intercontinental Airport

The hotel is under renovation, so we were expecting some defects when we arrived. However, in addition to the dings, patches and paint expected throughout the facility, we also encountered a musical rooms game at check-in. The driver-attendant was very helpful, went back to the front desk to get a second room. This one smelled like the previous inhabitant tried to kill himself by smoking as many cigarettes as possible within an 8 hour period. The TV remote (or TV?) did not work. The attendant had left to go about his business, so I went up to the front desk to jump to a third room. This one was satisfactory, although there was a minor amount of mold where the ceiling joins the wall. It is Houston, so I understand that. A hotel in similar climate would be advised to use a biological agent to control mold growth, especially as they complete renovations or open a new establishment. It looks like it will be a beautiful place when the renovations are done, but the cleaning, technical and check-in issues must be resolved if they wish to be successful.

They were remodling. TV remote was not working. Lots of dust. Toaster at the breakfast was not working. TV picture was very bad. Overall it's not worthed to stay there.

This hotel is under rennovation and, in my opinion, should be closed until this is complete. Construction is ongoing throughout. The rooms are dirty and smell bad. Only positive is that its located near Bush IAH airport. It should be your last option, if you must stay near the airport and no rooms are available. Was very overpriced.

I will never stay at the Hotel Marquis and Suites at the Houston Bush. This was the worst experience I have every had. I have been traveling on business since '99. I typically stay in a hotel room 3 nights a week every week since '99 all over Texas and Okalhoma. I also visit, Louisana, Arkansas, Alambama, Ohio. This place was the worst! There were roaches and bugs in the rooms. Everything was outdated. The hallways to the rooms were discusting. There was construction everywhere, there was a huge trash recepticle outside the room window, with trash all over the parking lot. The entire main lobby was under contsruction. To my knowledge there was no continetal breakfast. No water pressure in the showers or sinks, discusting shower.

This hotel was by far hands down the very worst most uncomfortable hotel I have ever stayed in. The room KEYS did not work the hall ways looked like we were walking outside on the ground very drity. The bathroom had plugs missing a hole in the wall, the towls were very old and hard.

good location. but renovations are underway. this gives me hope for an excellently located hotel. friendly at check-in desk.

This hotel is close to airport. Nevertheless, the place is in a major state of remodeling hopefully. Maybe in the future it will be a nicer place.

The entrance is under construction. Rooms are smelly, moldy. The water doesn't flow well in sinks. facilities are old.

We stayed 1 night and the hotel was under construction. We saw large roaches in the hallways. The dinner area was closed for construction. The breakfast was in a meeting room. Typical breakfast spread. Disappointed that the juice machine did not work. For getting to the airport, when we checkin we where told the shuttle runs all the time and not on a schedule. Whoever is waiting they take and go. Well the morning showed and this was not the case. It was on a schedule and we had just missed the shuttle before by 5min so we had to wait for another 25 min for the next shuttle. Would stay only for the price and location to the airport.

Had to contact hotel for details of location prior to arriving. Staff was very informative and courteous.
